1000-Lb. Sisters’ Amy Slaton Shares Why Her Body “Bothers” Her More After 200-Pound Weight Loss
Amy Slaton is getting candid about her weight loss.
During an upcoming episode of 1000-Lb. Sisters, the reality star hoped to get in shape for her October wedding to Brian Lovvorn with a trip to a bungee fitness class. However, after a few setbacks, Amy shared the difficulties she’s faced since undergoing gastric bypass surgery in 2019 and losing 200 pounds.
“Lately I’ve been doing so good on my weight loss,” Amy admitted on the Feb. 3 episode according to People, “and now that I’m skinnier, it’s starting to bother me even more.”
During the bungee class, the 38-year-old found that the bungee kept getting caught in the excess skin between her legs.
“These harnesses were not meant for people with excess skin, I’ll tell you that,” Amy explained. “My fat roll would go in between the strap and my leg.”
The TLC star also had issues with some of the bungee techniques, as she fell back and landed on the floor.
“I’m done with that one, nope,” she said. “I’m not doing that again. I’m not getting slammed on my ass again.”
Luckily, none of the problems stopped Amy from having the best day of her life as she and Brian tied the knot in Kentucky on Halloween 2025, five months after they’d announced their engagement.
“My wedding is a dream finally coming true,” she told People at the time. “I’m getting my happily ever after!”
Amy—who shares sons Gage Deon, 4, and Glenn Allen, 3, with ex-husband Michael Halterman—was also happy because “getting married means that I’m no longer lonely.”
“Because I’ve discovered my soulmate, Brian, is my happy place,” she told the outlet. “Once you get to know him, you’ll find him to be the sweetest, most caring person you’ll ever have the pleasure of knowing!”
“Not only did he capture my heart,” Amy added, “but he also won over my boys and not many men out there will accept a single mom with two energetic boys!”
And Amy was especially grateful that Brian inspired her to be a better version of herself.
“He prioritizes my well-being and that of my boys, selflessly putting our needs before his own!” she continued. “He is always enthusiastic about exploring new horizons with us or simply enjoying quality time indoors, playing games with the boys!”
