The week of Halloween on The Young and the Restless promises to dole out more tricks than treats to the beleaguered denizens of Genoa City.

For starters, Cane approaches Jack and Diane with a dire warning. There’s a new threat to their prized Jabot Cosmetics, the erstwhile Aristotle Dumas tells the Abbotts.

But, considering that every other word Cane has ever uttered has been a lie, will the couple take what he says with a grain of salt or the whole damn salt shaker?

Speaking of the aforementioned threat — i.e., Cane’s much-ballyhooed AI software — Phyllis approaches Victor and announces that she’s stolen it. And why, exactly, is she informing her former father-in-law? “I want to make a deal with you,” she says. “Are you interested?”

A chance to stick it to Jack and Cane and anyone else he dislikes? How could Victor possibly refuse!

Finally, at the Athletic Club, Billy hauls off and socks Adam in the jaw. But rather than strike back at his nemesis, he just sits on the floor, grinning. Just then, in walks Chelsea.
