The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Tuesday, December 2, reveals that Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) will plot Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) arrest while Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) chooses Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) on one condition.

At Crimson Lights, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will bump into Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and join him for a cup of tea, so that’ll give Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) a chance to interrupt and annoy Nate with her presence.

After Victoria gets called away, Audra will quiz Nate about whether he’s dating Victoria again.

Nate won’t think it’s any of Audra’s business and will refuse to give her another chance since the trust between them was broken beyond repair.

Once Audra realizes her apologies will never be enough, she’ll assume Nate’s moving on with Victoria.

At Society, Victor will run into Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), so he’ll taunt them about the upcoming Abbott Communications launch and whether it’ll really go off without a hitch.

Billy will assure Victor that no one’s going to pull the rug out from under them and will think Victor’s the one who should be concerned instead.

At the Abbott mansion, Diane and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will discuss the details of putting the Jabot shutdown in motion.

While Jack’s playing defense, Diane will want to play offense since what Victor’s doing with the AI program is illegal.

Diane will want to make sure Victor pays in the court of law and the court of public opinion, so she’ll talk about that before joining Jack at Society for a drink.

That’ll give Jack and Diane an opportunity to cross paths with Victor, who’ll keep up his innocent act despite Jack’s attempt to goad him.

Diane will also mention the possibility of jailtime for Victor, who’ll remain nonchalant.

Jack and Diane will get their own table, so Victoria will say a few cordial words to them on the way over to the bar to get updates from Victor.

It turns out Victor will be leaving for Los Angeles, so he’ll give Victoria the news and let her know she’ll be holding down the fort at Newman Enterprises.

Victoria will push for answers about what’s so urgent, but Victor will only tell her that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) need him.

At the GCAC on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Phyllis will assume Cane has chosen Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), but he’ll want to focus on his professional future with Phyllis and combine their talents.

Cane will insist he’s choosing Phyllis and moving on from Lily, but he’ll need Phyllis to be honest about stealing the AI program and giving it to Victor.

Cane will assume Phyllis did it with the goal of scoring Jabot, but he won’t think she needs it anymore since they’re going to build something new together.

Phyllis will act offended over Cane’s continued accusations, but he’ll push her to be honest so they can build trust.

If Phyllis can’t come clean about this, Cane will indicate that it’ll be a dealbreaker.

Phyllis will contend that she’s a star who needs a platform and will wonder if Cane can help her achieve that. Cane will urge Phyllis to confess and then they’ll see.

Phyllis will ultimately agree to tell Cane the truth, but will she really come clean about the AI theft or is this just another game?

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Cane and Phyllis still have more drama ahead of them, so stay tuned!
