Home and Away spoilers as shock exit news devastates Remi

Home and Away‘s Bree Cameron leaves her ex-partner Remi Carter devastated next week – as she crushes his hopes that they could get back together one day. Remi shares his secret desire when he learns that Bree is planning to leave Summer Bay to take up a new job opportunity, but his last-minute intervention gets him nowhere.

A new storyline sees Bree consider her future in the Bay after she’s offered a chance to work with Doctors Without Borders. It’s not the first time that Bree has considered joining the organisation, but this time she feels there’s nothing holding her back.

Bree is shocked by Remi’s reaction when she tells him about her plans and he begs her to consider staying in the Bay. Remi explains his reasoning, revealing that he’s always hoped there was still a chance for them to reconcile.

“It’s fair to say that Bree is not impressed,” our Home and Away insider explains. “She makes it very clear to Remi that he has no right to ask her to stay – they’re no longer a couple and she doesn’t owe him anything.

“Remi is understanding over her stance, but still thinks that Bree needs to give her decision more thought.”

Not holding back, Remi points out to Bree that she has been hesitating over leaving the Bay. He suggests that there must be a reason for that and she should carefully consider why before moving forward.

Bree is wrong-footed by Remi’s advice and heads off to mull things over one last time. However, when Bree summons Remi over text for another meeting, it’s still not the outcome that he would have hoped for…

“Remi’s stung when Bree admits that she’ll always love him, but she still intends to pursue the Doctors Without Borders job,” our spy adds. “It’s too good an opportunity to pass up – and Bree wants to put her career first for a while.

“It’s a time of mixed feelings for Remi, as he’s delighted for Bree but still privately heartbroken that they couldn’t make things work.”

Afterwards, Remi decides to follow Bree’s lead by throwing himself into work. He has recently set up his own record label and recruited newcomer Eddie Shepherd as his first signing.

Remi decides to prepare Eddie for a gig at Salt that night, even though restaurant boss Mackenzie Booth hasn’t agreed to it yet.

Meanwhile, Bree’s big news also has a major impact on Eden Fowler. Eden opens up to her husband Cash Newman, pointing out that Bree is heading off to save lives and Remi is running a record label. In comparison, she feels like a “wife with an empty future”.

This straight-talking offends Cash, who excuses himself from his meal with Eden and takes off. Can the couple work things out?
