Killer Victoria heads for a breakdown in Emmerdale ahead of dramatic exit

Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) is having a hard time facing what she did to her brother John (Oliver Farnworth) in Emmerdale.

Never mind that he deserved it, Victoria is in bits knowing that she took a life with no amount of reassurances doing any good. Her anguish will lead to serious consequences.

Part of her guilt stems from the fact that John would never even have been in the village if she hadn’t gone after him when she found out he was her half-brother. His van broke down and she hard persisted him to stay so that they could get to know each other.

So basically, it’s her fault in part that Nate ended up dead at the hands of mad medic John. If she’d only let him leave…

John also went on to nearly kill a bunch of people, including Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant), then save them to prove what a hero and a good guy he was. Even right up until the end he seemed to think he wasn’t the monster that he was.

But his killer status was eventually discovered, and he was run out of town by Caleb Milligan (Will Ash).

John made a monumental return to the soap during the CorrieDale episode where he first took Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) captive, before Aaron overpowered him, got the gun, and forced him to drive to the police station.

Their car ended up in a crash, which gave John the chance to escape. He headed to the woods and after a scuffle, was found dead, with Victoria having accidentally offed him with his own syringe.

But unlike her brother, Victoria’s moral compass has a stronger pull and living with the fact she killed not only a man, but her own brother, is weighing heavily on her mind.

Having already spiralled, Victoria is heading for yet another breakdown as waves of guilt seize her.
