Emmerdale’s Beth Cordingly sends three-word message amid Steph Miligan plea
Emmerdale star Beth Cordingly issued a three-word message to Georgia Jay as viewers make the same demand to bring Steph Miligan back to the village.
Beth Cordingly made her Emmerdale debut as Ruby Miligan two years ago in January 2024. She was introduced as Caleb Miligan’s wife who had joined the ITV soap two years prior as Cain Dingle’s long lost brother.
Ruby entered the village as a fiery character, quick to put others in their place if needs be. However, things soon shifted for the villager as 2024 came to a close and her estranged father Anthony Fox arrived in the village with Ruby and Caleb’s daughter Steph Miligan.
While appearing uncomfortable around her father, harrowing flashbacks later showed that Ruby had been the victim of abuse at the hands of Anthony.
After taking a DNA test, it was also revealed that Steph was Anthony’s biological daughter, not Caleb. Upon finding the information, Caleb held Anthony hostage at gunpoint, but he escaped to the depot.
His freedom was short-lived, however, as Aaron Dingle heard about the abuse and confronted Anthony after his own experience of having an abusive father.

He beat him to a pulp and left him on the depot floor, and when he returned later on with John Sugden to check on the body, they learned that he had died.
However, it was later shown that Ruby had been the one to end her father’s life as she found him badly injured on the floor and covered his mouth to stop him from breathing.
While the group attempted to keep his death a secret from Steph who was close to him, she soon found out and learned what a monster Anthony really was – as well as being her biological father.
From the moment she found out, Steph began to spiral and struggled to look at herself without seeing Anthony. She even went as far as to consider plastic surgery, booking a consultation for a nose job until Ruby and Caleb rushed in to stop her.
Last year, Steph left the village behind for a while, and in real life actress Georgia Jay had left for maternity leave. She confirmed the birth of her first child earlier this year.
Taking to her Instagram, Georgia shared two old pictures of her with William Ash (Caleb) and Beth as they hung out backstage before going on set with matching under-eye patches on.
She penned: Throwback to us preparing for our close up” to which Beth agreed with fans of the ITV soap as she replied: “I miss you x”. Viewers also flocked to the same comments to ask Georgia to return to the Dales.
