Ruby horrified in Emmerdale as she gets news of a horrific death

In the hubbub of all that’s going on in relation to the discovery of both Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) and Ray Walters’ (Joe Absolom) sick operation and Ray’s death, there have been a few things that have been forgotten in Emmerdale.

And one in particular is set to resurface – Anya.

Viewers might remember how Anya first arrived in the Dales, she was the young mother who was found hiding in one of the Depot’s vans. After Caleb Miligan (Will Ash) discovered her, Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly) took her under her wing against Caleb’s strong advice, gave her a roof over her head and had local doc Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) tend to her.

What they didn’t realise at the time was that Anya had escaped Celia’s clutches, temporarily.

Ruby took good care of her and the pair even became close, but as Caleb made it clear she wasn’t welcome, Anya did a bunk with his cash, and the next time we saw her she’d been recaptured by Celia Daniels’ (Jaye Griffiths) modern slavery outfit.

Fellow captive Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) then took on the responsibility for Anya, helping her when she was weak and covering her missed work.

But as she got more and more sick, with Ray refusing to help, all Bear could do was hold the young mum until she died.

Bear was then forced to dig her grave – unbeknownst to him on Moira Dingle’s (Natalie J Robb) land.

But with police all over the village, it was a matter of time before Anya’s disappearance, and possibly disturbed grave, was discovered.

As the police dig deeper into the modern slavery business, Ruby is heartbroken to realise Anya too might be dead. Will the full truth of her demise surface along with her body?

Or are Moira’s nightmares about to deepen with Anya being buried on Moira’s land in Moira’s blanket?
