The Young and the Restless recap for the episode aired on Wednesday, February 4, 2026
Victor corners Cane with a terrifying threat
Victor shows he is far from finished. After taking hit after hit in silence, he finally faces Cane Ashby and makes his message clear. Victor tells Cane that if Newman Enterprises is not signed back to him, then Cane will never see his family again.
The threat is cold and frightening and shows how far Victor is willing to go. It also reminds Cane that his new power can disappear just as quickly. Cane’s earlier confidence fades as Victor’s warning hangs over his so-called victory.
Billy leans on love while clashing with Jack
At the GCAC, Billy Abbott leaves Sally Spectra a heartfelt voicemail and reminds her that he still loves her despite their growing conflict over Chancellor. The tender moment shifts when Jack Abbott arrives. Billy tells Jack that Jill Abbott’s health is getting worse but the talk soon turns tense.
Billy stands by his push for Chancellor and says he is doing it to protect Jill and Katherine Chancellor’s legacy. Jack fears Billy is choosing ambition over family and urges him to rethink what truly matters.
Divided loyalties surface at Society
At Society Lauren Fenmore Baldwin opens up to Michael Baldwin about Jill’s health crisis and talks about how close she has grown to her over time. When Diane Jenkins Abbott joins them, the focus shifts to Victor’s downfall.
Diane says Victor is finally getting what he deserves and Lauren agrees while also warning that Victor will likely pull Michael into more trouble. Michael responds with surprising compassion for Victor which shows how divided opinions are becoming among the people of Genoa City.

Old plans and new tensions at the Abbott mansion
Back at the Abbott mansion, Jack and Diane talk about rebuilding Jabot after shutting it down. Their discussion brings up old tension tied to past choices involving Nikki Newman and Michael. Even as they argue, Jack insists that Victor losing power is what matters most.
Diane agrees but suggests the win may not last very long. The uneasy conversation shows that while one chapter ends old issues could still disrupt their progress.
Phyllis celebrates too soon as Victor strikes back
At Newman Enterprises, Phyllis Summers walks in with Cane and proudly takes in their takeover. She jokes about wiping away Victor’s presence and even suggests a press release and a new name like Ashby Summers. Cane quickly shuts down those ideas and says he wants calm and stability instead of flashy moves.
Their confidence disappears when Victor shows up, dismisses their control and demands to speak with Cane alone. Victor then delivers a crushing threat and proves that even without his office he is still the most dangerous man there.
Earlier at the Newman ranch, Chelsea Lawson admits to Victor that she pushed Adam Newman for details about his plan and also filled Nikki Newman in. Nikki storms in soon after and demands answers when Lily Winters and the twins cannot be reached.
Adam confronts Victor as well and accuses him of using him. Victor gives no explanation, shows his anger and walks out only to appear later at Newman Enterprises where his final move leaves Cane trapped with no easy way out.
