The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) may go after a Newman in retaliation, but which one? Now that Cane believes Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and the twins are at risk, he’s ready to do whatever it takes to get them back – even if that means targeting someone Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) loves.

In the February 5 episode, Cane hinted to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) about the possibility of this retaliation tactic.

Adam made it clear there would be dire consequences if Cane chose to put any of the Newmans in danger.

However, desperate times call for desperate measures, so it’s certainly possible that Cane will snatch up a Newman next.

Cane would prefer not to sign Newman Enterprises back over to Victor, so abducting a Newman may become his new strategy.

It feels like kidnapping overload on Y&R lately, so many fans are hoping it doesn’t come to that – especially with Dominic Winters (Ethan Ray Clark) already missing thanks to Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) own abduction plot.

That said, if Cane does go to this extreme and target a Newman, we should consider who he might grab.

Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is the apple of Victor’s eye – and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) is Victor’s beloved granddaughter.

One or both of them would be good options if Cane moves forward with a kidnapping scheme.

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is an option as well since she’s the love of Victor’s life.

However, Cane would no doubt take great pleasure in abducting Adam if he decided to take that route instead.

There’s also Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), who’s injured and would be an easy snatch.

As a story bonus, Nick could perhaps go through drug withdrawals in captivity to highlight just how addicted he’s become.

It wouldn’t be the first time Nick became a hostage because of Cane since he was held captive back in Nice.

Of course, Cane would probably avoid targeting Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) due to the missing Dominic situation.

The same goes for any other Newman kiddos since there’s no need to get monstrous here.

It’d be best for Cane to stick to the adult Newmans if this is the tactic he decides to use.
