Y&R Friday Recap: Billy and Sally Split Up On Valentine’s Day, and a Shocking Kiss Takes Us By Surprise
At the Club, Adam and Chelsea discuss the Dom/Mariah news. She hopes there’s a happy ending. Adam parlays that into talk about Newman Enterprises and how everything went to hell today.
Chelsea’s eyes bug out as Adam recaps that Phyllis double-crossed Cane and transferred Newman to herself… with her sidekick, Billy, who got Chancellor and Newman Media. Suddenly, Chelsea’s on the warpath, vowing Phyllis won’t get the best of the Newmans.

Turning their attention to romance, Chelsea presents Adam with an envelope, and he gets them a table, seating her with a kiss. Over dinner, Chelsea and Adam get into their other favorite topic: Conner. He has a girlfriend, apparently, and his parents are nervous.

Throwdown
Sally arrives at home to find a romantic set-up in the works. Billy, noting that she’s early, explains it’s for Valentine’s Day. Sally resists getting caught up, crosses her arms and crabs at him about leaving Abb Comm. Billy pops his cork and pleads with her, but she digs in. Tears on Valentine’s Day aren’t good, but here we are nonetheless.
Billy’s forced to put on his best used-car salesman pitch to get Sally out of the doldrums, but he takes a wrong turn when he slips up and reveals he’s taken over Chancellor. Smiling like the cat that ate the canary, he tells her that Newman Media is hers. Unfortunately for Billy, it doesn’t go over as hoped.

Sally’s gobsmacked when she learns Billy joined forces with Phyllis and Cane’s out of the picture. Is she supposed to thank him for a company he stole?! Billy’s V-Day circles the bowl as Sally rants that all he’s managed to do is make another powerful enemy in Cane.
Things really unravel when Billy loses his temper and hollers that Victor and Cane got what they deserved. When he tries blaming it on Phyllis, Sally shouts that he’s complicit and now he’s put a target on her back! Valentine’ goes out the window entirely when Billy screams that he can’t do this anymore. “When did ambition becomes such a bad thing?!”

The Ol’ Abbott Charm
At the Abbott mansion, Jack tries to romance his wife, who’s still upset about Nikki. Turning on the ol’ Abbott charm, he convinces Diane to table that discussion and they share a toast.

Cozying up on the sofa, Jack and Diane discuss – what else? – but business. Jack gets a glint in his eye when his wife tells him he saved Jabot and John Abbott would be proud. When she husks that he saved this family’s legacy for years to come, the heat turns up and they kiss.

A Valentine’s Day Scrap
Audra spots Kyle at the bar in Society and bellies up. He grunts, “Great.” She buys herself a Valentine’s Day drink… on him. They start slinging insults, and it’s pretty entertaining. Finally, Audra pokes the bear by bringing up Claire and letting Kyle know she’s back in L.A. with Holden.

Upping the ante, Kyle needles that Claire must be determined to find out what went down with Audra and Holden in Los Angeles. Audra’s uncharacteristically speechless when he predicts that his ex will blow her out of the water.

Recovering, Audra accuses Kyle of looking for excuses to stay in her orbit. She thinks he enjoyed what happened in Nice. Doubling down, she needles that he’s obsessed with her. She leans in to warn, “You will never have me.” Will Kyle slap her? No… wait, he kisses her! A Valentine’s Day surprise indeed.

The Heart Wants…
In L.A., Sienna can’t understand why Noah is there. He tells her he loves her and kidnapping drama is over. Sienna’s understandably skeptical when Noah insists that his mother urged him to get on a plane, and makes it clear that him showing up was the last thing she wanted.

Sienna doesn’t want Noah stuck there with her, but does she really think he’s going to dissuade him? It’s not happening. He jumps every hurdle she tries to put up. Sienna gives him some gobbledy-gook about not feeling she belongs there, or anywhere, anymore.
Sienna snivels that her entire life with Mitch was a complete lie. Finally, we get a Valentine’s Day vibe as she admits Noah changed everything and that she’s missed him. He takes this as his cue to invite her to come back to Genoa City to start a life with him.

The Final Scenes
At the Abbott mansion, Diane’s forgotten all about Nikki (for now) and falls into Jack’s arms for a slow dance. Ah, the romance.
Over at the Club, Adam pulls out all the stops… with a greeting card. Chelsea seems to love it, given he wrote what was in his heart. Aww. They, too, get up and slow dance.

In L.A., Sienna stands up in the café and rasps, “Dance with me.” Noah does as instructed, probing for an answer to his earlier question, “Come with me?” She kisses him in response.

At Society, Audra and Kyle finish kissing. He tells her she’s the one who will never have him, despite how much she wants him. As he defiantly exits, Audra smiles to herself and muses, “Hmm.”

Back at Billy’s, there are no signs of kissing or slow dancing, but plenty of screaming. Egad. Billy yells that he loves Sally, and then ruins it by accusing her of refusing to support him. Annnd… it looks like an official break-up as he declares that he can’t live like this and storms out.
