General Hospital Friday Recap: Lulu and Nathan Decide to Tell Maxie About Them
At the hospital, Trina tells her mom that she had a visit from Isaiah, and he told her some hard truths that she didn’t want to hear. It made her realize she owes her mother an apology.

Trina says she doesn’t want her mom to be unhappy and alone, and she loves her. Portia cries she loves her too, and they embrace. Portia wants to be open with her, as she’s invested in a future with Isaiah. Trina says she saw how much he cares about her mom when he defended her, and she has no problem with them being together, but they won’t be bonding overnight.
Britt and Lucas Strategize
Lucas visits Britt, who asks if he’s made progress getting her meds. He hasn’t, but he promises to get them. Britt suggests an alternative and pulls out a syringe of sodium pentothal. She plans on taking Pascal out with it the next time he gives her an injection.

As much as the idea of sticking it to Pascal pleases him, Lucas won’t let her take that risk. He has another idea, and it’s time to enlist some help. He says he’ll be in touch and walks out.
Maxie Returns to Work
At Deception, Maxie returns to work and gets a huge hug from Lucy. She is ready to dive into work, but Lucy suggests they go to the Metro Court to celebrate her return. Maxie asks what she’s trying to hide from her. Lucy explains that Deception’s market and stock tanked when she collapsed on TV, and they needed a bailout, which Sidwell provided.

Maxie is furious and learns about the deal they made, which gives Jenz control of shipping and distribution. Maxie says it’s time she takes charge and makes a call.
What’s Eating Nathan?
At The Metro Court, Nathan tells his mom about his reunion with Maxie and that it’s over between them. He spots Lulu walking in, but she joins Nina and Willow at a table.

Nathan tells his mother that Maxie chose to stay with Spinelli. Obrecht thinks he needs to fight for Maxie and to think about what is best for James. Nathan, in an angry voice, tells her, “How dare you bring up James, and who are you to judge anyone’s parenting skills!” He quickly apologizes for snapping, says he can’t discuss this, and walks out.
Willow’s First Interview
Lulu thanks Willow for giving her the first interview about joining Congress and asks about her priorities. Willow is clearly out of her league, so Nina steps in to discuss securing funding for infrastructure and other important projects to improve Port Charles. She then steps aside so Lulu can hear more from Willow.

Lulu asks how Willow really feels about taking on this role. Willow admits she wanted to say no at first, but her mother made her realize what good she could do in Congress, and this is her chance to be a positive role model for her children.
Nina Cautions Nathan
Nathan returns, once Obrecht is gone, and he joins Nina at the bar. He tells her about Maxie’s choice, and now he’s free to pursue things with Lulu. Nina feels perhaps he needs time to heal before jumping into something new. Nathan reminds her that she told him to trust his heart, and what his heart wants is to be with Lulu.

Nathan texts Lulu, and they meet in the alcove. He wants to know her thoughts on the two of them. Lulu wants to give them a chance, but worries Maxie might see this as a betrayal.
Nina rejoins Willow, and her daughter says she realized she has her own agenda. She’s going to use this opportunity to make a better life for herself and her children.
Obrecht Tries to Enlist Help
Obrecht heads to GH to see Britt and tells her that Nathan is in crisis and not acting like himself. (Hmmm, a clue that he’s not Nathan?) For one, he snapped at her, and two, he’s not fighting for Maxie and has accepted she wants to be with Spinelli. She asks Britt to talk some sense into him and tell him that he belongs with Maxie and James.

Britt refuses to do that, as they must respect Maxie’s choice. Obrecht feels Spinelli can’t make Maxie as happy as Nathan. Britt says she doesn’t know that, and waxes about how special Spinelli likely makes Maxie feel. Obrecht realizes Britt is talking about what she has found with Jason.
Lucas Puts Marco to the Test
At Wyndemere, out on the parapet, Sidwell tells Marco they are close to putting the final nail in Sonny’s coffin.

They head in, and Sidwell tells him about Willow taking Drew’s seat, and he’s hoping she will use her power to force the FBI to look at Michael’s father’s activities. Their talk turns to the project, and Marco says they still don’t know if the prototype will work. Sidwell says it has to, as their life depends on it. (What is that about? Is there someone above Sidwell and Cullum?)
Sidwell takes off to the mainland, and Lucas comes home. He confronts Marco about what is going on with Britt. Marco explains that Britt has to complete the project or she doesn’t get her medicine, an experimental drug that keeps her Huntington’s Disease at bay.

Lucas thanks him for being honest, as Britt told him the same. Lucas asks Marco to give him a dose so Britt can reverse-engineer it, but Marco notes that Cullum will notice if even one dose is missing, so he can’t help him.
Maxie Pokes the Bear
Sidwell arrives at Deception and tells Maxie how happy he was to get her call, and she looks very well. Maxie says Lucy filled her in on how he helped keep the company going, but now it’s time to discuss his exit strategy.
Laura is Sorry
Laura arrives at Alexis’ office to apologize for the surprise press conference. Alexis wonders why she didn’t give her a heads-up. Laura says she did text her, and she didn’t learn about Willow until minutes before the press conference. Laura hopes she can forgive her.

Of course, Alexis does, and Laura says if it were up to her, she’d be on the way to Washington. Alexis assumes this was the Governor’s doing, and he probably wanted someone he thought he could control. However, Alexis says Willow is no pushover and surprisingly resourceful.
In the Show’s Final Moments
At the hospital, Portia feels the baby kick and places Trina’s hand on her stomach. Trina says hello to the baby and that she’s her big sister.
In her office, Britt claims to her mother that she was not talking about Jason, and they aren’t even together. Obrecht thinks they could be happy together if they’d get out of their own way.
At Wyndemere, Lucas tells Marco that his staying is dependent on their helping Britt. Marco calls him a good man and agrees to help get Britt out of this mess.
At the law offices, Laura hopes Alexis is right, and this job might be good for Willow, as her life won’t revolve around Drew and his recovery. She’s puzzled when Alexis agrees, the less time Willow is around Drew, the better.
At the Metro Court, Willow tells Nina it feels good not to be subservient to a man, and now she has the power to push back should Michael try to push her around.

Nathan tells Lulu he’s not going to let go of hope as he wants her. She admits she wants him too, but one of them will have to tell Maxie, as she won’t pursue this in secret.

At Deception, Sidwell tells Maxie that he’s not walking away from this company and has a five-year contract, so she should accept the assistance he has provided and will continue to provide. Jenz then tells Lucy they should head out to lunch. Maxie tells him this discussion is not over.
On the next General Hospital, Laura asks Willow if she plans to use her position to settle her own scores, and Justine vents to Dante and Michael, “Our final lead and it’s a dead end.”
