General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) may not have a real future in Port Charles. Since Jon Lindstrom is busy filming Beyond the Gates in Atlanta, that doesn’t leave much time for him to fly to the West Coast and squeeze in GH scenes.

That’s why the writers gave Kevin an exit story when Laura Collins (Genie Francis) convinced him to take a job offer in Dublin.

Laura was terrified over the threat Jens Sidwell (Carlo Rota) posed to her family, so she suggested Kevin should take Ace Cassadine (Kiernan and Karis Barry), too.

Kevin has a six-month teaching gig, but it could always be extended.

There’s also a chance Laura will enrage Sidwell in some way and prompt his retaliation against Kevin down the road.

Sidwell certainly isn’t the kind of guy who’ll let a little thing like distance stop him from going after someone.

If Sidwell wants to wipe Kevin off the map, then it won’t matter whether he’s in Port Charles, Dublin or anywhere else.

Regardless, we have to consider how long the show will keep making excuses to keep Kevin off-screen?

At some point, Kevin might get a fatal exit that leaves Laura free to move on with someone else romantically.

In fact, GH’s writing team may already be testing out a surprising new love interest for Laura.

Ezra Boyle (Daniel Goddard) was once a fierce adversary, but now he’s trying to get Laura to see that he’s not the enemy.

Ezra is just someone who got tangled up in something he can’t get out of with Sidwell.

It was a situation where Ezra didn’t realize the level of risk involved until he was already in over his head.

It feels like the show’s started a bit of a redemption arc for Ezra, which will continue in the March 2 episode as Patrick Scott Lewis temporarily fills in for Daniel Cosgrove.

GH spoilers say Laura will warm up to Ezra a bit and see a softer version of him. Could Laura and Ezra eventually be paired up?

It’s tough to imagine Laura actually cheating on Kevin, but maybe Ezra could comfort Laura if Kevin faces a grisly outcome.

Laura might need someone to lean on if Kevin doesn’t make it back from Dublin alive!
