Coronation Street’s George star Tony Maudsley confirms ITV soap future

Coronation Street viewers have been feeling devastated for George Shuttleworth in recent episodes on the cobbles.

Recently, a woman called Annie arrived at George’s funeral parlour in a furious state. Confronting George – who had just handled her mother’s funeral – alongside Todd Grimshaw and Christina Boyd, Annie hurled accusations at George, insisting he’d manipulated her mum and taken advantage of her vulnerability to get himself written into her will.

Annie claimed that her late mother had altered the will to leave George a staggering £10,000. A stunned George insisted he was innocent, but Annie wasn’t having it, threatening potential legal action against George and his cherished funeral business.

Matters deteriorated further when Christina made a quip about George wriggling his way into clients’ wills, only to be mortified when she discovered Mrs Ripley, a potential client, had caught wind of her comments.

Meanwhile, solicitor Adam Barlow told George that Annie has hired his services to contest her mother’s will, urging him to obtain his own legal representation immediately. Adam revealed that Annie is convinced that Christina is George’s accomplice and intends to pursue legal action against both of them, reports the Daily Star.
