All over for Emmerdale’s Paddy as new evidence seals his grim fate

Ever since Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) confessed to killing Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) in Emmerdale, DS Walsh (Amanda Ryan) has been suspicious that he didn’t act alone.

At the time, Bear had returned to the village after suffering months of neglect and abuse on Celia Daniels’ (Jaye Griffiths) farm. DS Walsh knew that Bear was too weak to move Ray’s body on his own and would’ve had help, but he wasn’t going to tell her who else involved.

After Bear killed Ray, Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) and Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) moved his body into the back of a depot van, and did it because they wanted to prevent Bear from facing police consequences. When Bear told the police the truth, he failed to confirm that Paddy and Dylan had roles in the aftermath.

Due to the fact Walsh knows Bear is hiding something, the case cannot be closed. During an interview, Bear claimed he was the only one at the scene when he killed Ray, but then slipped up by mentioning the other voices he could hear.

It’s tricky situation for everyone involved. Walsh is just trying to do her job, while Paddy and Dylan are hoping if they stay quiet for long enough, their lives in the village can continue as normal.

The problem is though, Walsh is like a dog searching for a hidden bone – she isn’t giving up. In tonight’s instalment, she was back in the village following Bear’s disappearance, and informed Paddy that once his dad is found, he will be re-arrested.

A while later, the detective was chatting to Paddy in the vets and noticed something in the corner of her eye. Walsh waited until the evening to return, and claimed to Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) that she had left her phone in the back room.

Walsh quickly rushed back out to prevent Vanessa from growing suspicious. Outside, she made a call and revealed she had found some new evidence.

On her phone was a picture of some rope, which was then revealed to be the same product Paddy used when he attempted to dispose of Ray’s body in January.

If Walsh can prove that Paddy took the rope from the vets on that day, he’s absolutely done for.
