Unexpected Emmerdale character who saves doomed Dylan revealed
The fact is, Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle), Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) and Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) need a miracle to save them from their impending doom in Emmerdale.
And they might’ve found it.
Following Ray Walters’ (Joe Absolom) murder, Paddy and Dylan did their best to protect Bear, but they were just kicking the can down the road.
The beloved character killed Ray after returning from being held captive on a farm and forced to work as a slave. Asking the vulnerable man to keep a murder a secret on top of all of the trauma he suffered on the farm was never going to work.
In a recent episode, Bear broke the rules of his bail conditions and also attacked Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) at hospital. When he learnt that the police wanted to talk to him, Bear fled the hospital and ran off.
DS Walsh (Amanda Ryan) explained to Paddy that once they locate Bear, he’d get rearrested. Fortunately, Paddy found his dad before the police, and took him to a mental health unit.
While Paddy knew that Bear could get the help he needed, he also did this to stop him from going back to prison. It was once again delaying the inevitable though, as Walsh told Paddy that his dad would get rearrested as soon as he was out of the unit.
Next week, Bear is back in the interview room and under interrogation. As his stresses increase, Bear is provoked by DS Walsh’s theory that his wrestling experience means he knew what he was doing when he killed Ray.
Bear loses control and lies to Walsh, telling him that he killed Ray – but doesn’t mention Paddy. This outburst then increases Bear’s chances of getting a life sentence.

Back at home, a desperate Paddy reaches the conclusion that it’s time to tell the police the truth, even if it means implicating himself – and Dylan makes it clear that he won’t let Paddy do it alone.
‘He worries about what that’ll do to Dylan’s life’, star Dominic Brunt said.
‘Paddy feels like he’s not saved him…but he’s become a parental figure in his life. He thinks that if Dylan goes to prison, what chance does he have for the rest of his life? He’s beside himself.’

Feeling as though they have no other choice, Paddy and Dylan head to the police station with a broken Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) by their side.
Very quickly, Paddy and Dylan’s nightmare deepens when they’re told they’re going to be charged with perverting the course of justice.
With bail uncertain, the Dingle clan want to help in anyway they can. They wonder if they could find a witness to confirm it was Ray’s intention to kill Dylan, and realise Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) was the last person to see Ray alive.
