Emmerdale star Isabel Hodgins has given a glimpse inside her first Mother’s Day, weeks after welcoming her first child into the world.

The Salford-born actress, who is best known for playing Victoria Sugden in the ITV soap, gave birth last month to her and her husband Adam Whitehead’s first child, a daughter they revealed they have named Georgie.

Announcing the arrival of their baby girl, Isabel and Adam took to social media and shared a video in which Isabel could be seen in the hospital in labour, before a blank screen appeared, confirming their daughter’s safe arrival.

“On the 11th of February at 1:02am… Georgie Grace Whitehead. 11.02.26. 8lbs5oz [heart emojis],” the message across the video read. The post then cut to the sound of Georgie crying and an image of Isabel holding her baby girl in her arms, with the post captioned: “And then we heard you.”

Doting parents Isabel and Adam have since been sharing plenty of updates on life with their new addition, with their baby girl’s arrival coming months after they tied the knot in a fairytale wedding in Manchester last summer.

And on Sunday (March 15), Isabel was seen celebrating her first Mother’s Day. It started with a sweet card from her baby girl, which read on the front: “happy first mother’s day as my mummy. i love you x.” It also appeared Isabel was gifted a bracelet featuring Georgi’s birthstone in a heart, while her baby girl sported a baby grow which head been personalised to say: “Our first Mother’s Day Georgie & Mummy.”

Isabel also headed out with Adam, dining at The Waterside in Monton. The soap star shared a glimpse at the special Mother’s Day menu before she was seen pouting her lips as Adam captured a snap of her with her plate of fish and chips.

It came after Adam took to Instagram to pay tribute to Isabel. Alongside pictures of her with their daughter, he wrote: “Your first Mother’s Day @isabelhodgins. As if I didn’t already think you were amazing… but watching you become Georgie’s mum has opened my eyes even more [heart emoji].

“The love, patience and strength you show every day is incredible. We’re so lucky you’re ours [heart emoji] #firstmothersda #motherhood #mumlife.” Isabel’s Emmerdale co-star Danny Miller was quick to respond with a string of heart emojis, while Laura Norton comment: “Amazing mummy doing an amazing job.”
