Emmerdale ‘reveals’ who takes down Joe Tate – and it’s ‘not Lydia or Graham’

Emmerdale’s latest episode could have hinted at who might spark villain Joe Tate’s downfall after his unforgivable actions, and the culprit may be a surprise for fans

Joe Tate could be destroyed on Emmerdale, after creating a number of enemies.

With several characters wanting to teach him a lesson after his vile actions, including blackmail and framing Moira Dingle, a new culprit may have been revealed in the latest episode. Last year we saw Joe drug his own brother Noah Dingle, before he stole his uncle Caleb Miligan’s kidney.

If that wasn’t bad enough, earlier this year we saw Joe blackmail the Sugdens after Victoria killed her brother John in self-defence. As well as forcing them to sign over their farm land, he then made Robert plant ID documents in Moira Dingle’s home to make it seem she was linked to Celia Daniels’ crimes.

Of course this backfired when said crimes were revealed to include human trafficking, with Moira left in big trouble. Joe did all of this so he could convince Moira to sell her land, and just days ago this finally happened as Moira remained in prison for a double murder she did not commit.

So when Joe found out that if Kim Tate was to die, he would not be left the Home Farm estate, he feared everything had been for nothing. He claimed Home Farm was his right to have, furious that Kim had instead planned to leave it to Lydia Dingle in her will.

So like with the farm drama, Joe was determined to get his own way. He decided to target Lydia this time, clearly wanting to get her out of the way and for Kim to leave Home Farm to him, should she die.

But when someone close to Joe found out what he’d been doing where Lydia was concerned, they took action. Graham Foster uncovered his plan and took desperate measures to stop him.

He spilled all to Joe’s girlfriend Dawn Taylor, leaving her sickened. She confronted him, telling him he needed to stop being childish and focus on what was important.

She said he clearly didn’t have his priorities in order if he was more worried about getting the big house over his family. When Joe admitted his feelings had been hurt, she told him to have an “adult conversation” and tell Kim the truth.

But with Dawn making it clear she will not back his “brutal” and cruel actions to get what he wants, does this prove she will expose him? If she finds out what he’s done to Moira and the Sugdens, could this lead to her taking action, and ending his reign of terror?
