Emmerdale stars are seen by millions of people pretty much every day.
The ITV soap has been part of our lives for decades and, to many of us, it is like we know the iconic characters. Just as we all do, the cast value their precious free-time away from work – only seeking out the best.
In this feature, ideal for anyone who likes to do a bit of star-spotting, we have rounded up some of the restaurants, bars and attractions where you might possibly bump into some Emmerdale cast members. Given they have freqented them in the past.
As filming is predominantly done in Leeds examples included come from across Yorkshire. There’s high-end eateries and historic Yorkshire venues featured in the list.

James Hooton at Stuzzi
James Hooton, 52, who plays legendary character Sam Dingle in the ITV soap, enjoyed a night in Leeds with partner Nancy. The actor posted photos on Instagram from his fun in the city.
Firstly, he visited popular bar Belgrave and later onwards to a nearby restaurant. James posted: “Date night with Nancy tonight.
“Currently sat in Belgrave Music Hall prior to our meal booking. She has intimated that I lack sophistication…I think she has a point.”
James, in a separate post, added: “Date night continued. Lovely meal at Stuzzi.”

Lisa Riley at San Carlo Flying Pizza
Lisa Riley, who plays Mandy Dingle in Emmerdale, posted on Instagram about a recent family meal at San Carlo Flying Pizza in Roundhay.
She posted: “Gorgeous family night out at @sancarlorestaurants #flyingpizza #leeds #sancarlo #family what Sundays are all about.” Many followers wished Lisa and her family well.
Cast night out at The Ivy
In recent years, the famous establishment The Ivy has hit the road and opened a number of restaurants across the country. We have one in the heart of Leeds city centre and we’ve previously seen some of the cast of Emmerdale – pictured here alongside BBC sport host Gabby Logan.
Gal date at a celeb restaurant
Amy Walsh and Roxy Shahidi enjoyed a glam visit to celeb chef Gino D’Acampo’s venue based in Boar Lane. Tracy Metcalfe star Amy posted snaps from their visit to Instagram.
“What a gorgeous night with my beautiful friend Roxy,” she wrote in the caption. “It’s not often we get together without children, work or something else to focus on but when we do it’s special!”
A big gig sees Emmerdale cast party
Emmerdale stars were spotted partying away from the village during a big glam night out at Halifax Piece Hall
Jurell Carter, who played Nate Robinson, Eden Taylor Draper, who plays Belle Dingle, Natalie Ann Jamieson, who played Amy Wyatt, Emma Atkins, who portays legend Charity Dingle, and Jeff Hordley, who is another icon in the shape of Cain Dingle, headed to Halifax Piece Hall for the fun. The Emmerdale cast members were seen enjoying Loyle Carner perform at the historic venue.

On the subject of real-life Emmerdale couples, legends Chris Chittell and Lesley Dunlop, a real-life pairing, were spotted at the historic Great Yorkshire Show in Harrogate. Looks like Chris really enjoyed that ice cream.
A dramatic night down the theatre
If you head to the theatre you might see some famous acting talents in the audience.
As part of their involvement with the Drama Queens reality TV show, Amy Walsh and Laura Norton’s visited Leeds Grand Theatre. Drama Queens gives viewers a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the lives of some of the acting stars from Emmerdale, Coronation Street and Hollyoaks.
Emmerdale stars Amy and Laura featured regularly in the series. As part of the show, the cameras followed their trip to support former co-star Samantha Giles starring in The Syndicate at Leeds Grand Theatre.
