Viral Emmerdale star confirms social media break ahead of wedding
Bradley Riches has revealed that he will be taking a break from social media just days before marrying his fiancé.
The Emmerdale star, who plays Lewis Barton on the ITV soap, is set to tie the knot with partner Scott Johnston in a matter of days.
The couple got engaged in early 2024 after Bradley competed in Celebrity Big Brother, in which he placed 6th.
Ahead of the big day, the Heartstopper actor, who rose to fame as James McEwan in the uplifting Netflix series, took to social media to confirm that he would be stepping back from the platform for a little while.
‘4 DAYS,’ he wrote on Instagram, followed by a crying emoji and ring emoji. ‘And 22 degrees?? sorry but that’s definitely my nanny pulling strings up there.
‘Pics pending… lots of them!! Xx see ya on the other side.’
The wedding is set to be a rather star-studded event, with Bradley previously confirming quite the guest list of those that will be in attendance.
‘‘So obviously we’ve got my new friends from Emmerdale, a couple of them are coming,’ he told The Mail last month. ‘Heartstopper, some of them. The Big Brother lot.

‘I think all of the Big Brother lot are actually coming. Like David [Potts], Colson [Smith], Nikita [Kuzmin], Sharon [Osbourne], Levi [Roots], Zeze [Millz], Marisha [Wallace], Ekin-Su [Cülcüloğlu], and other people I’ve met along the way, like Arlene Phillips, Tasha [Ghouri] from Love Island.
‘Just lots of people I’ve met through the industry and ones I’ve shared big moments in my career with. It’s going to be really nice.
‘We were kind of like, obviously we will invite our loved ones and all our friends, and then I looked at the list and went: “Oh my god, I’ve actually got quite a lot of famous friends, I didn’t realise”. I was like: “Maybe I am embedded in the industry slowly”.
Bradley revealed earlier this month the sad news that his nanny had died before she got to see him walk down the aisle.
Alongside a picture of a younger Bradley beside his Nan, the star beautifully wrote: ‘Never did I think I would be saying goodbye to my Gt. Nanny just days before my wedding. Before my she passed, she told me she’d be with me on my big day… and I know she will be.

‘She loved Scott so much- never questioned us, just loved us fully. I will miss you every day.’
‘See ya later love you xxx’.
Bradley confirmed his engagement to Scott back in 2024, writing: ‘I never thought I’d find someone who’s gets me and loves me for me. I have always struggled connecting my emotions in relationships and then @scottjohnston1.8 came.
