Becky destroys Carla’s Coronation Street return and makes a play to win back Lisa in brutal move

Carla Connor (Alison King) has been living it up in Ireland with bestie Michelle Connor for the past few weeks, while at home on Coronation Street Becky Swain (Amy Cudden) has been slowly sinking her claws back into wife Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers).

Becky’s return from the dead this summer turned Lisa’s world upside down, and left Carla feeling insecure in her relationship with the detective sergeant.

Carla was already suspicious of Becky’s intentions before she jetted off, and now it seems that she was right to worry, and had taken necessary precautions when she’d asked Roy Cropper (David Neilson) to keep an eye on things.

This week, Roy and Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) were caught off-guard when they walked in on Lisa and Becky hugging, and while Becky was totally calm about it, Lisa was clearly concerned about Roy getting the wrong idea.

This prompted a moving conversation between them both, which saw Lisa finally admit that while she still loved Becky, it was Carla she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Becky’s attempts to win back her wife are set to stop any time soon.

Next week, Lisa informs Roy that Carla is due to arrive home and she can’t wait to see her.

She also makes it clear that any feelings she had for Becky are firmly in the past.

Determined to rile things up between Carla and Lisa, however, Becky deliberately lets slip that she has been staying at No.6 while Carla was away.

This revelation leaves Carla taken aback, and things are only set to get worse.

After posing for photos alongside Lisa in their Halloween costumes, Carla flicks through Betsy’s camera roll, where she is put out to find the video of Lisa and Becky modelling Betsy’s designs.

Viewers will know that the video in question has already caused trouble, with Betsy having been scolded by Becky for putting it on social media.

Having seen the video, Carla announces to Lisa that she’s going home.

When Betsy explains to Becky what has put Carla in such a bad mood and caused her to leave the party at the Rovers, Becky forms a plan.

She arrives at the party and joins Betsy at the bar, where it becomes clear that she has put on the song she and Lisa shared their wedding dance to.

Becky takes the opportunity to remind Lisa of their vows, assuring her that she meant every word.

As she reminds her that they were happy once and could be again, will Becky finally make a move on Lisa?
