The Young and the Restless fans have a reason to celebrate as one of the series most popular actresses is once again teasing returning to her beloved role.

Beth Maitland shared the news on Instagram, posting a photo from outside of the set and hinting that she is back in Genoa City, “Returning even briefly to my happy place brings me so much completion. Doing what I feel meant for. Ahhhhhh. @youngandrestlesscbs #myparkingplace #actorslife #ourtraci”

Maitland is best known for her role as Traci Abbott on The Young and the Restless. She first joined the soap opera in 1982 and remained a part of the show’s fabric until 1996, later returning for appearances in 1999, 2001, 2002, and more sporadically since 2006.

In 2007, Maitland brought the character of Traci to the show’s sister series, The Bold and the Beautiful. Outside of daytime television, her credits include Plaza Suite, Mr. Holland’s Opus, The Grove, Criminal Minds and Number 2.

Maitland last appeared on The Young and the Restless during the holiday season, as Traci helped the Abbott family celebrate Christmas. While no details have been confirmed about what brings her back this time, fans have already taken to social media to express excitement over the possibility of seeing more Traci in Genoa City.

On her Instagram comments, one user wrote, “We always love seeing you ! I wish the powers that be would give both you and @traceybregman1 your own storylines. The original cast members are the heart of this show.”

A second user added, “I so enjoy when we get to see you Genoa City. I know it’s a soap but it’s nice to see characters such as Tracy with her level head back on the picture.”

With a third user sharing, “Your face says love and contentment as well as your natural beauty. We love you we need Tracy on the scenes in Genoa city.”
