Chicago Fire Spoilers: Violet Faces Heartbreak, New Beginnings, and Stella’s Big News

Violet’s Kiss That Changed Everything

Season 13 of Chicago Fire ended on a romantic high note when Violet Mikami (Hanako Greensmith) finally shared a kiss with Sam Carver (Jake Lockett). But the moment fans had been waiting for may not last. With Jake Lockett’s departure from the series confirmed, the couple’s future seems uncertain.

Hanako Greensmith admits that filming those final moments with her co-star was bittersweet. “It was really wonderful to get to live out those last few scenes together and just bring them to life as much as possible, to make it heartfelt and raw and honest,” she said.

Still, the time has come for Violet to move forward. Season 14 opens with a time jump that quickly delivers answers to lingering questions. Fans won’t be left hanging too long about where Violet stands when the drama returns.

Where Is Hanako Greensmith's Violet on Chicago Fire? (April 16, 2025)

Violet’s New Chapter Without Carver

Heartbreak isn’t new for Violet, but this time feels different. According to Greensmith, the character is stepping into a “new phase of her life.” Rather than being crushed by disappointment, Violet is beginning to use her pain as fuel for growth.

“I feel as if I am witnessing her walk into a new phase of her life where she’s learning to live with these disappointments in a different way,” Greensmith explained. “They’re adding to the tapestry of her experience as opposed to weighing her down.”

The actress teased that Violet could soon find herself back in the dating pool. With both Jake Lockett (Carver) and Michael Bradway (Jack Damon) exiting the show, Firehouse 51 may have more than one paramedic entering “single girl season.”

Stella and Kelly’s Surprise Baby

While Violet deals with heartbreak, Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) and Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) are preparing for a whole new journey. The season 13 finale revealed Stella’s pregnancy, setting up a family storyline that could reshape the firehouse dynamic.

Greensmith hinted at a deeper bond between Violet and Stella this season. “I do think we’ll probably see a new phase of Stella and Violet’s relationship,” she shared. “Because there’s so few women in the firehouse and Stella is going through an innately female time, it’s important to show the women supporting each other.”

Fans can expect heartfelt moments as Violet steps up to support Stella while also finding strength in her own struggles.

Untold Stories Still Ahead

Though Violet has been part of Chicago Fire since season 8, Greensmith believes her character’s backstory still has layers left unexplored. She hopes season 14 will shine more light on Violet’s past while also giving her fresh dynamics with other firehouse favorites.

One pairing she’d love to see more of? Violet and Herrmann (David Eigenberg). “I would kind of love to see more of how Violet is with Herrmann because I feel like they’re kind of similarly a little aggressive,” Greensmith joked. “Watching them either band together or butt heads could be pretty comedic.”

What Fans Should Expect in Season 14

Between Violet’s heartbreak, Stella’s pregnancy, and the shifting dynamics of Firehouse 51, Chicago Fire season 14 is set to deliver plenty of drama. Violet may be stepping into adulthood with a stronger, more resilient outlook, but her journey won’t be without challenges. Meanwhile, Stella and Kelly’s baby news will bring joy, complications, and plenty of changes for the tight-knit crew.

With new storylines, emotional growth, and dramatic twists, fans can expect the firehouse to burn brighter than ever.
