Coronation Street Becky’s next move confirmed and ‘she’s capable of many things’
Coronation Street fans have been left worried for Carla Connor after Friday’s cliffhanger with Becky Swain.
Soap watchers will recall that there’s been drama between favourites Lisa Swain and Carla Connor after Lisa’s supposedly dead wife, Becky Swain, showed up after four years following being in hiding.
The former couple’s daughter, Betsy, has also been left stunned over her late mother’s return and in scenes earlier this week, while boding with her estranged mum, Betsy persuaded Becky to model some of her designs for her college project.
As Lisa joined in too, a happy Betsy recorded the spectacle for her social media but Becky was soon left panicked and pointed out people might recognise her.
It appeared Becky had every right to be worried as on Friday night DI Costello wielded his power over Betsy. Having been out all night, Kit told Lisa that Betsy’s been arrested.
Later, an officer interviewing Betsy told her that according to DI Costello, she damaged a police car, resisted arrest and then tried to attack him to which Betsy denied.
It wasn’t long until Costello met up with Becky and spelt out that she needs to disappear again or it will be worse for Betsy…
As the episode came to an end, Becky used the situation to get closer to Lisa as she told her she shouldn’t be alone while Carla is away and insisted she stay the night to keep her company.

Later, Lisa spoke to Carla in a video call to which Becky, who tried to make herself seen in the video in a dressing gown, was seen simmering in the kitchen as she deliberately dropped a spoon so Carla would hear someone else was in the house.
Soap watchers have been left concerned by the scenes, worrying for their fan favourite couple, Swarla, and Corrie boss, Kate Brooks, has also teased what viewers can expect… and it’s bad news for Carla.
Talking at a recent press day, Kate said: “So, Becky is… she’s a bit of a villain. She’s come back. She knows what she wants. She wants her family back. She wants Betsy. She wants Lisa back.
“She wants to oust Carla from this very happy home life that she’s created. So we are watching this story develop and slowly we’ll start to peel away the layers of Becky and who she is and what she’s actually capable of. At the minute, kind of on screen, we’ve only really scratched the surface, but she is capable of many things.”
Kate added: “So, yeah, loads of exciting things to come. Becky’s quite a badass and she’s very capable of many things.
“The audience will discover that she is, as I say, not kind of quite the innocent and quite the hero that she’s led people to believe. And we will realise that quite soon on screen, actually.
“But it takes a while for the rest of the people of Weatherfield to realise what type of person she is and what she’s capable of. Obviously, Carla’s already got a few suspicions, but we really kind of cement those suspicions quite soon. And Carla has every right to be wary of this woman.”
