Coronation Street horror as Summer’s collapse leaves her friends terrified
Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street‘s Summer Spellman falls unconscious in front of her friends next week, during a visit to see Asha Alahan at the mental health unit. Is her sudden deterioration a sign of something sinister?
When Nina Lucas and Amy Barlow take the time to visit Asha, the two best pals explain that Summer won’t be able to make it until later because she has university commitments that she can’t give up. But when Summer does show her face eventually, disaster soon strikes as she crashes to the floor…
“Summer grabs the door frame then hits the ground,” our Corrie insider reveals. “It’s a terrifying sight for Asha, Nina and Amy, who are all in the room at the time.
“Corrie fans will know that Summer was diagnosed with diabetes about four years ago, but there’s no confirmation yet as to whether her condition is the cause of the incident.
“Hopefully, with Asha around, plus being in a place full of medical professionals, Summer will receive the help she needs.”
Earlier in the week, Dev visits Asha at the psychiatric facility, where she admits that although she feels ready to come home, she’s worried by the fact that none of her friends have reached out to her.
Infuriated, Dev returns to Weatherfield and lays into Summer, Nina and Amy for failing to support Asha through her devastating ordeal.
In fact, Dev goes as far to tell the trio that Asha isn’t sure about leaving the unit because of their abandonment of her. How will the group of girls respond to Dev’s highly emotional declaration?

“Dev must be delighted to hear that Asha is thinking about heading home,” our insider continues. “She even assures him that she knows that the family are fully behind her.
“But it’s not all positive news, as Asha also explains that her mates haven’t been in touch, which is making her feel anxious about going back. Dev’s dad instinct immediately kicks in, which triggers his tirade at Asha’s pals.”

After Dev’s intervention, Nina and Amy turn up to see Asha and present her with a jigsaw that they’ve had made of them all.
While working on the puzzle, Nina and Amy explain that Summer hopes to arrive later, but has university matters to deal with first.
Asha feels quietly hurt by the news, but Summer makes her ill-fated entrance not long afterwards.
When Summer slumps down in front of them, can Nina, Amy and Asha bring her back around? Or will Summer need serious medical intervention?
