Coronation Street star Alan Halsall has admitted to fans he’s ‘finding it hard’ as he faced a big change in a personal update on his ‘greatest joy’.

The actor, who is famed for playing Tyrone Dobbs in the ITV soap, was seen going through all the emotions at the start of the summer, having gone through a series of ‘lasts’ with his daughter, Sienna, as she left primary school.

In July, Alan shared how he felt waving his daughter off to her leavers’ disco on Monday evening (July 21). Taking to Instagram, he shared a picture of Sienna checking herself out in the mirror in her black party dress, complete with sparkling silver sandals and matching clutch bag.

Sharing the snap to the ABBA track, Dancing Queen, Alan wrote: “Leavers Disco. P.s. I’m not crying [eyes emoji].” Then, alongside an adorable picture of the pair, he admitted: “Glasses may or may not be to hide tears!”

The soap star went on to pay tribute to his only child as she posed for a beautiful photo before heading to celebrate the end of primary school with her friends.

He said: “My sweet girl, I can’t believe how quickly you’ve grown – so beautiful, inside and out. Watching you became the amazing young person you are today fills my heart with pride. You’ll always be my little girl, and I’m so proud of everything you’re becoming.”

Alan was later there to pick up his daughter following the party, and said alongside a video of them making their way home: “Top dad points – taking the sliders for the walk home [crying laughing emoji].” He added: “How my life has changed.”

With the summer over, it was then on Wednesay (September 3) that Alan returned to social media with a fresh emotional update, as Sienna headed off for her first day of secondary school.
