Coronation Street’s Lauren haunted by evil Joel in new spoiler video
Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) has come a long way since her first appearance on Coronation Street, but the past is still haunting her in a new spoiler video for the ITV soap.
Though she first arrived as the daughter of a far-right terrorist and member of his group, Lauren was determined to separate herself from her past and turn her life around.
Unfortunately, she was preyed on by sinister solicitor Joel Deering (Calum Lill), who groomed her into having sex with him, before violently attacking her and leaving her for dead.
Lauren was assumed dead for several months before she was found, alive and pregnant.
Despite Joel’s attempts to get rid of the baby by drugging her to induce early labour, baby Frankie survived, and was the proof Lauren needed to put Joel away.

However, things took a shocking turn when Lauren killed Joel in defence of boyfriend Max Turner (Paddy Bever). Fortunately for Lauren, she was found not guilty at trial, and has since been trying to put the ordeal behind her.
Since Max’s departure from the cobbles, Lauren has been single and doing what she can to take care of Frankie – including working as a barmaid at the Rovers.
It was here that she grew close to Ollie Driscoll (Raphael Akuwudike), and it wasn’t long before romance began to blossom.
When Ollie found the courage to ask Lauren on a date, there was some confusion as to whether they were going out as friends or in a romantic sense.

Once they’d overcome this with a little help from Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin), there was another obstacle in their way, in the shape of Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn).
Disapproving of the relationship, Maggie reminded Lauren that she was her boss, and had control of the rota. Not wanting to risk losing her job, Lauren called things off with Ollie.
However, in recent days, there have been sparks flying between Ollie and Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney), and Lauren has been struck with a case of the green-eyed monster.
In the new spoiler video, Ollie is quick to defend himself, pointing out that Lauren was the one to dump him.

It is then that Lauren candidly opens up about how she has only been in one relationship since Joel, and she’s scared of getting hurt again.
Things escalate quickly from there, as Lauren and Ollie end up sharing a kiss – only to be interrupted by a furious Amy!
Maggie appears delighted by the entire situation – likely because she is the only person who knows that Ollie and Amy are actually cousins, as Steve McDonald’s (Simon Gregson) dad Jim is also Ben Driscoll’s (Aaron McCusker) dad!
