Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon has made fans ‘giggle’ as she reacted to being accused of a ‘leak’, while coincidentally also confirming to fans more details about a current storyline.

Earlier this month, fans went wild when the actress, who plays Bethany Platt in the ITV soap, appeared to confirm an arrival to rock the Connor-Swains.

She posted a selfie from her dressing room at the long-running show’s Trafford Wharf set and in the clip, behind Lucy there was a black rimmed mirror with the name ‘AMY CUDDEN’ stuck onto it in bold lettering.

It led fans to quickly speculate online that the actress, who starred in Doctor Who, Vera and Mr Bates vs The Post Office, that she’d be joining Corrie as Lisa Swain’s ex-wife – and they were soon proven right at Becky Swain emerged from the dead, played by Amy.

Lucy has now taken to social media with a new video, in which she can be seen documenting her day, from her early start as she left the family home she shares with her boyfriend, footballer Ryan Ledson, and their two young children, to head to work at Corrie.

A message across the video read: “Spend the day with me,” before she wrote in the caption of the post: “Spend the day with me !!!! juggling work, life, babies and trying to be a pilates princess and yes those are bethany’s gym clothes thanks girl.”

In the clip, Lucy was seen in her dressing room and she cheekily put her hand up to cover the mirror with a name attached behind her and mocked her previous ‘spoiler’.

But fans were quick to see the funny side, while others pointed out that a clip as they entered the dressing room seemingly confirmed that Amy was still filming, as Becky’s green coat was spotted in the shot.

@daisysmidgeley commented: “I’m actually howling at lucy having to cover the name on the mirror behind her now, when i was the one who brought her initial post to twt in july and got people speculating whoops sorry queen xoxox.” @CarlasFlipFlops replied: “It’s her doing it now when we already know the name she’s covering.”

@missmollybruton pointed out: “Lucy covering the name on the mirror but we’d recognise that fugly green coat anywhere.” As for the storyline, @wordtoyourmilf added: “Yeah I feel like December Becky’s main storyline will be them in the process of catching/ taking Becky down. Like all the truth will be exposed by then I feel like.”

Meanwhile, Lucy’s return to Weatherfield as Bethany following her recent maternity leave has been confirmed as featuring in next week’s episodes of Corrie, as spoilers revealed what brings her back home.

At the station, DC Kit Green is led to an interview room, where Bethany, the daughter of his new partner, is waiting. Bethany explains that she quit her job in London and borrowed her boss’s car without permission.

Having driven it up to Manchester, she’s been accused of theft, but can Kit get her out of this mess? Bethany later tells mum Sarah Platt, who is currently dating Kit, that she quit her job before she was pushed.
