Coronation Street’s Tina O’Brien and her co-star ex’s family have rushed to support her daughter as she seemingly prepares for her next big move.

Fans best know the actress for playing Sarah Platt in the ITV soap, having made her debut more than 20 years ago. But in more recent times that her daughter, Scarlett Thomas, has been following in her footsteps.

Sixteen-year-old Scarlett, who is mum Tina’s daughter with her Corrie co-star ex Ryan Thomas, is best known for appearing in Waterloo Road where she plays Izzy Charles, the daughter of Donte Charles, who is famously played by her uncle, Adam Thomas.

But it was last month that the teenager seemingly revealed her next step could be in music as she posted a number of photos of herself in a studio.

She’s now returned to social media with a new a video of herself in which she can be seen showing off her incredible singing talent, again in a studio.

Covering the song ‘Maybe’ by British singer-songwriter Sienna Spiro, Scarlett was quickly flooded with comments. While Tina responded with a string of love heart eyes emojis, her on-screen daughter, Corrie co-star Lucy Fallon replied: “Stunning scarlett.”

Her uncle, Adam Thomas, posted: “My girl!!!!!” alongside a string of flame emojis while his twin brother, former Love Island star Scott, simply commented: “Wowzer [red heart emojis].” Scarlett’s grandmother, Gail, also added: “So proud of you @scarlettjthomas26.”

It comes after Tina recently took her fans by surprise as she joined in a new AI trend in which you and your younger self can be seen side by side in one photograph.

Sharing her image on Instagram at the end of last month, the mum-of-two said: “Jumping on the AI trend of big me with little me. I loved looking through photos of little O’Brien, I found this so emotional to do. Life ey?”

And fans were quick to respond as many thought that Scarlett was the ‘spitting image’ of Tina’s younger self.
