Coronation Street’s Vicky Myers told ‘never change’ as cheeky responses to show of support uncovered

Coronation Street fans have impored Vicky Myers to ‘never change’ as they were left in stitches at her cheeky response to their show of support.
The actress, who is best known and much-loved for playing DS Lisa Swain in the ITV soap, is currently raising money for her local community.
Vicky, who hails from Stockport, and her actress pal Erin Shanagher, have once again teamed up for their fundraiser, Secret Santa Hamper.
The pair first started the charity venture in 2020, in a bid to help families in Greater Manchester who were in food poverty during the Christmas period, by providing essential food hampers.
The post on their Go Fund Me page: “Since then, with the support and generosity of the public, we have created and delivered over 2000 food hampers to children and their families during the Christmas holidays.
“To mark five years of Secret Santa, again with your much valued support, we aim to raise a phenomenal £15,000 so we can help 1000 families this Christmas.
“Last year, we were inundated with requests from schools with young children who were in food poverty and in need of help. So, this year, we aim to help even more families across the borough by increasing the fundraising total to fulfil the aim of creating 1000 essential food hampers.”
In recent weeks, Vicky has been bowled over by the support from fans as, at the time of writing, their £15,000 target had been completed smashed, having raised more than £20,000 and counting.

But Corrie fans have been getting increasingly inventive, by choosing some interesting names for their donations that link to Vicky’s ficitonal life in Weatherfield.
One used ‘Peter Barlow’, the name Lisa’s fiancee Carla Connor’s ex. They’ve since reveals Vicky’s response on social media. @katie_mxrie shared:” Persuaded my mum to donate to the Go Fund Me as Peter Barlow and she got this gem of a reply this mornin [cyring emojis].
“‘Thanks for signing the divorce papers,’ I actually can’t cope [crying laughing emoji].” And more fans have been quick to respond.
@carrlaconnor said: “”THANKS FOR SIGNING THE DIVORCE PAPERS’!!!!! VICKY MYERS YOU’RE SO FUNNY. PLEASE NEVER CHANGE.” @claudiaasiann commented: “Vicky Myers you are killing me today. She’s a comedian.” @Tourist61 shared: “The generosity, the humour, the will to support someone whose supporting us is just beautiful to see.”
Meanwhile, @_livgreenwood reveald their own response from Vicky, adding: “After giving a larger donation from my main account, I donated a smaller amount under the name “Swivel Chair That Doesn’t Even Swivel” & had this response back. So glad to hear Swains chair is functioning properly again – I however, am not x #VickyMyers #SantaHamper.”
Vicky also reshared a post from the Secret Santa Hamper Instagram page which read: “Heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you! We are stunned by your kindness and generosity.
“Thank you for supporting over 1,000 families this Christmas by enabling us to provide essential food hampers. YOU’RE AMAZING!” Alongside the post, the soap star added: “Thank you so much! [face holding back tears emoji].”
