Emmerdale death lie under threat as April reveals everything in ITVX episode

Emmerdale‘s April Windsor could finally discover that she’s not a killer – after a big conversation with the police in tonight’s episode. Traumatised April has been living in fear of a prison sentence since Ray Walters and Celia Daniels tricked her, but could that be about to change?

Thursday’s episode sees April visit the police station with her dad Marlon Dingle, where they finally share the full harrowing details of Ray and Celia’s crimes.

These include April and Dylan’s enforced drug dealing, April’s experiences with predators in hotel rooms, and Celia’s human trafficking operation which left Bear Wolf trapped on the farm.

Although it’s cathartic for April to finally tell all, she’s also forced to face her worst fears as she explains what happened with evil Callum last year. Or at least, what she thinks happened.

Back in October, April was left trapped in a hotel room with Callum, who’d paid to have sex with her. At the time, Ray and Celia were trying to sexually exploit April by setting her up with vile “clients”.

When a terrified April refused, Callum tried to force himself on her and she lashed out in self-defence by hitting him over the head with a bottle.

Ray and Celia later told April that Callum had died and they’d got rid of the body for her. In reality, Callum was alive and well, and the criminal pair were exploiting the situation to manipulate April further.

In tonight’s scenes, the police are supportive as April shares the emotional story. She later returns home pending further investigations.

Of course, fans will remember that the last time we saw Callum, he was still living at home with his wife and not making much effort to hide away.

Could this lie be quickly cleared up once the police start digging?

Emmerdale has ended April’s ordeal in recent days by killing off both Celia and Ray. Celia’s comeuppance came first as Ray killed her, then Ray faced the music as someone murdered him and then moved the body.

Show producer Laura Shaw recently explained: “Following the discovery of Ray’s body, villagers’ secrets will come out as the mystery surrounding Ray’s death is finally solved.

“Before the end of January, a special week will flash back to the night of the murder, revealing which of the multiple suspects is responsible for Ray’s demise.”
