Emmerdale fans call out villager ‘glitch’ as they make same observation
Emmerdale fans have spotted that Ray Walters made a similar decision to John Sugden in the ITV soap, pointing out a funny “glitch”.
Actor Joe Absolom joined the Emmerdale cast as Ray Walters earlier this year, and has been spending his time recruiting April and Dylan in his drug schemes.
Telling them that his bosses need them to pay off their debt, the teenagers are somewhat trapped between doing him various favours while he also grooms them into thinking he cares.
Viewers were in for quite the shock when it was revealed that Ray’s boss is mysterious newcomer Celia, and not only that but she’s also his adoptive mother.
During his time on the soap, Dylan has been getting closer to Paddy Kirk who has acted like a father figure towards the teenager, offering him somewhere to stay and driving lessons.
On Monday’s (October 13) episode, Paddy was proud of Dylan for passing his driving test so quickly, but Dylan became uneasy when he realised that Ray was listening to their conversation from nearby.

Ray congratulated Dylan on passing his driving test, but reminded him that the crash course he gave him was expensive, so he’ll need to work extra hard to pay it off.
However, viewers noticed a funny similarity to John Sugden when Ray was listening to Dylan and Paddy’s conversation.
Noting that he was hiding behind a thin wooden pole, on a Reddit thread u/battlequiz wrote: “Has Ray been taking stealth lessons from John? Just lurking behind a thin bit of wood and not being noticed by Paddy lmao”
u/solid-accountant1915 replied: “Before John left he gave him some army stealth lessons yes”.
Another viewer, u/federal-way-5158 quipped: “Exactly my thoughts! Hahaha, its like there’s an Emmerdale glitch, hide behind pole then become invisible”.
They’re referring to the scenes when John Sugden had ran from the hospital after Aaron Dingle woke up from his coma and told the truth that John was behind a harrowing list of crimes.
In episodes that followed, John was spotted in the village hiding behind lampposts and walls, as well as also finding his way into Victoria’s house and back out again almost completely undetected.
Apart from Harry speaking to him while he was in the house, of course.
