The latest episode of Emmerdale teased someone could be watching Ross Barton’s movements, amid him possibly killing Ray Walters.

The character was revealed to be a suspect during Wednesday’s episode, after he finally learned what Ray had done to April Windsor. Amid Marlon Dingle’s fears for the teenager at the time the flashback episodes were set, Ross wanted revenge.

We saw him heading to the farm and retrieving a shotgun, with a murderous look on his face. But ahead of Ray’s killer being revealed on Thursday, fans picked up on something else that happened.

When Ross arrived at the farm, he appeared to look back and around like he was being followed. It then showed the direction he was looking in, and the camera went shaky as if someone was watching him and possibly hiding.

Fans began to question whether it was the camerawork or if someone was actually spying on him. But why would someone be keeping tabs on Ross?

Fans wondered if it was linked to Ray’s murder and if it was Ray himself spying on Ross, possibly leading to a killer showdown. Others were unsure if it was Ray, and some believed it could be returning character Graham Foster who was watching, after a scene on Tuesday.

One fan posted online: “I was a bit confused about something that happened. Did anyone see the bit on the farm where it looked like Ross was being watched and someone was hiding maybe?

“He appeared to look around too but then it moved on. I wonder if it was Ray spying on him and this leads to Ross killing him or something.”

Another fan pointed out: “At the end of Tuesday’s episode we see Graham witnessing the interaction between Marlon and Ross before he hares off in his car I think Graham is following Ross to lead him to Ray.” Another fan said: “Hmm… I wasn’t sure if it was just the camera work?

“But now you say it it did look like he turned around and someone was hiding?? Only thing is it was at the same time Ray was with Paddy.” A fan responded: “Oh yes but I wonder if with it being flashback week the events are all out of order?

“And so Paddy and Ray stuff happens at a different time.” A further post read: “Oooh love this theory. I too noticed it looked like someone was watching him and were hiding in the barn so wonder what it all means.”
