Emmerdale actress Paula Lane has posted an adorable update just days after welcoming her baby son into the world.

Paula, known for portraying Ella Forster on Emmerdale and Kylie Platt on Coronation Street, announced last year that she and husband Tom Shaw were expecting their third child.

The actress is already mum to two youngsters: Arthur, who arrived in 2014, and Penny, born in 2016. Earlier this month in January, Paula thrilled followers when she announced the arrival of their baby boy.

Sharing heartwarming images of their newest family member, Paula wrote on Instagram: “Welcome to the ranch Patrick. We are all completely and utterly in love… So longed for…thank you for completing us”.

Now, just days following Patrick’s birth, Paula – who departed Emmerdale last year – has updated her social media to share how she’s settling into this exciting new phase. The television star posted multiple snapshots to Instagram showing glimpses of her life over the past 10 days, reports the Mirror.

Among them were tender photographs of her cradling newborn Patrick. Paula captioned the post: “The past 10 days of you. My lucky little charm. Lots of feeding, cuddles, Monopoly and gentle dog walks. Soaking up every second.”

Unsurprisingly, Paula’s devoted followers flooded the comments with messages. One fan commented: “Congratulations and well done. Make the most of every moment xx.”

Another gushed: “So beautiful to see you and your beautiful baby so happy for you and your family.” A third chimed in: “Congratulations enjoy your little man.”

Echoing their thoughts, another gushed: “Lovely pictures . Congratulations to you all. Sending my best wishes.” A fifth also penned: “Aww lovely and you look amazing.”

Paula is best known for playing Kylie on Corrie, with the character introduced as the sister of Becky McDonald (portrayed by Katherine Kelly). She later developed a relationship with David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd), whom she eventually married.

However, six years after her arrival, Kylie met a tragic end in scenes which aired in 2016. Viewers watched as Paula’s character died in the arms of her devastated husband, David, whilst lying in the middle of the street after sustaining fatal stab wounds.
