Emmerdale star Adam Thomas flooded with support as he breaks down in emotional moment on air

Emmerdale and Waterloo Road star Adam Thomas has received support from fans after sharing an emotional video, in which the actor discussed his insecurities despite the success in his career.

Thomas, best known for the role of Adam Barton on Emmerdale and Donte Charles on Waterloo Road, teared up as he got candid about his complicated feelings in a recent episode of The Thomas Bros podcast, a show he co-hosts with his brothers Ryan and Scott.

Talking honestly on the podcast, Thomas admitted struggling with self doubt and feelings of guilt, sharing: “When you look at the house that I’ve got, the cars, the life that I’ve created for myself and yet I still don’t believe in myself.

“There’s days I walk down the stairs in this house, and I think I’m so grateful, I’m so lucky. But I feel guilty because of it because I’m like, ‘why do I deserve this? Why do I deserve a beautiful wife and this perfect family?'”

“On paper, the life and career that I’ve created for myself is ridiculous. The job that I’ve got is amazing, but there’s just that one thing that’s inside of me,” he added. “I doubt myself so much and over-procrastinate.”

Thomas’s candour was met with an outpouring of support from fellow celebrities and fans, who reached out on Instagram to share their love for the soap star. Emily Atack, best known for Rivals and The Inbetweeners, called Thomas a “kind, pure and beautiful soul”.

A fan offered: “Oh Adam, you should never doubt yourself. You are the most purest and kindest soul, and you deserve everything you have as much as anyone else. We love you Thomas Bros so much!”

“Ahh Adam this was a hard watch!” another listener noted. “You deserve it all, you’ve worked so hard for what you’ve got and your family is just amazing!”

The actor will next be seen in the upcoming second season of I’m a Celebrity… South Africa as part of an all-star line-up including Gemma Collins, Scarlett Moffatt and Craig Charles.
