Emmerdale viewers are convinced that they know another twist after the ITV soap aired a Bear Wolf bombshell in the aftermath of Ray Walters’ death.

Over the last week, Emmerdale have aired “whodunnit” style episodes which show flashbacks for each suspect in Ray Walters’ murder after he was killed ending his reign of terror over the village.

On Thursday (January 22), viewers finally saw who killed Ray and it was a surprise to see Bear Wolf alive after he was presumed dead following Celia Daniels’ conversation with Ray before her death.

It was an intense episode as Dylan told Paddy that his father, Bear Wolf was dead and as Dylan tried to force Ray to confess he threatened Paddy’s daughter, Eve.

In the moments that followed, Dylan was dragged into the cottage as Ray prepared to kill him, but Paddy swopped in and saved Dylan before being overpowered by Ray.

The biggest shock came when Bear walked in, after viewers and the villagers thought he was dead this whole time. As Ray ordered Bear to leave, Paddy pleaded with his dad to help them.

Ray attempted to manipulate Bear once more, after previously telling Bear back at the farm that no one from home had tried to contact him. He said: “Ted it’s Ray, I’m your only friend, remember he abandoned you, he doesn’t love you. Now go outside like a good boy. Go on. Now let’s finish this.”

As Ray turned his back to Bear, he got the villain in a chokehold, and while Dylan and Paddy begged Bear not to kill him, he responded: “He’s got to stop” before Ray slumped to the floor, lifeless.

Now, some viewers are looking at Paddy Kirk as in the present episodes, he is still asking the police about Bear’s death even though he knows he’s alive.

On a Reddit thread, some think Bear could be in hiding to protect him. u/bellagrrl2021 wrote: “It is a coverup. Paddy knows what happened. So he is giving him and his father an alibi.”

u/picturedependent1143 added: “I think paddy has bear hidden away maybe in Ireland where Mandy could look after him and is putting up a good front in front of everyone”.

Another viewer, u.andstep234 theorised: “In the ‘real time’ episodes when the deaths happen, Paddy was away at the conference and uncontactable. He was the last to know about Ray/Celia etc.

“But we now know that was a lie because Dylan told him everything before he went to the ‘conference’ Definitely a twist being lined up.”
