Emmerdale star Bradley Riches has announced a family tragedy just days before his wedding to partner Scott Johnston, as his great-grandmother has passed away. The Lewis Barton actor shared photo of the two to his Instagram page yesterday as he confirmed the sad news.

“Never did I think I would be saying goodbye to my Gt Nanny just days before my wedding,” he wrote in the caption. “Before my she passed, she told me she’d be with me on my big day… and I know she will be.”

He added: “She loved Scott so much – never questioned us, just loved us fully. I will miss you every day. See ya later love you xxx.”

Riches’ Emmerdale co-stars supported him in the comments, with Natalie Ann Jamieson (Amy Wyatt) writing: “Oh I’m so sorry Brad.” Fred Kettle (Dylan Penders) commented with three heart emoji and a sad face.

Big Brother 2023 star Kerry Riches also shared condolences, writing: “Oh Brad I am so sorry to read this darling. Sending you all the love and strength in the world and of course she’ll be right by your side. Love you darling xx.”
