General Hospital Twist Hints Josslyn Will Soon Quit the WSB
The Thursday episode of General Hospital (recapped here) was exciting for more reasons than one. Not only did Carly and Josslyn have the blowout to end all blowouts over the co-ed’s top-secret work as a WSB agent, but their confrontation teased a way out of this storyline that, by and large, viewers haven’t been very into. How’s that?

Even as Josslyn explained her motivation for joining the WSB — to take down former stepfather Sonny, aka the patron saint of mobsters — her impetus for soon leaving the organization became clear. Nobody takes Sonny down — ever.

Please. Literally since the character was introduced in the 1990s, one D.A., cop or fed after another has tried to make something, anything stick to the Teflon don — to no avail. Some of them fall in love with him. (Hey, Hannah, Reese, Justine… ) Others meet a grimmer fate. (Right, Cates?) Heck, though for a minute there, even Anna wanted to bring Sonny to justice — and she certainly had ins with the WSB — she didn’t.
General Hospital just ain’t gonna go there. Period. Once Josslyn realizes that, the appeal of working with the WSB will dwindle. And sorry, but we’re not buying her secondary motivation: to make the world a better place.
Come on. If Josslyn really had any desire to be a force for good, she wouldn’t have kicked an unarmed Valentin in the privates and cold-cocked him for making a remark she didn’t like. That behavior all but screams “not strait-laced heroine material.”
