Sometimes we all just want to change up our look and in the case of General Hospital’s Finola Hughes (Anna), she was able to get one from someone she’s admired for a while. The ABC soap star took to her official Instagram to share her “fresh new look” and how excited she was to meet Jayne Matthews, the woman behind the “cool shag” cut.

“I’ve been following her work for about a year and really wanted a cool shag and Jayne killed it!” Hughes cheered while sharing a video of what it took to get the soft, sculpted shag with long side-swept bangs. “So excited to have a fresh new look! Jayne, loved meeting you, such a great morning. Thank you for caring so much about your clients and really listening and spending time with us! I love it.”

She then posted two photos to show off her “cool new shag,” which left her castmates in awe. “10/10 smoke show,” stated Jacqueline Grace Lopez (ex-Blaze), as Cassandra James (Terry) shared, “OMG! Coolest gal I know!” Laura Wright (Carly) called her “amazing” and while the actress who played Hughes’ TV daughter Kimberly McCullough (Robin) added, “Coolish bish on the planet,” others echoed Wright by expressing just how much they loved her new look.
