As Lacey came face-to-face with Craig Wendell, the villainous councillor attempted to mow her down in order to silence her following his own crimes, but Theo stepped in to save his girlfriend in an act of sacrifice.

Evans, who made his debut on the soap in 2021, spoke about his dramatic final scenes during an appearance on Seven Network’s The Morning Show, saying: “We film so far in advance – like four months – so I’ve already processed it.

“It was quite sad, but it was nice to really feel that sadness of parting ways”, the actor said.

“Just being on set around actors and having a character go down all these different avenues of life really helped me on my own personal growth journey and created a deeper level of humility and understanding of other people as well,” he added.

While Theo’s death has taken place, the emotional scenes won’t air in the UK until next month, with the end-of-year cliffhanger always being a tasty affair for fans of the Australian soap.
