Iain Dean’s life is once again put in danger as the beloved character falls from a cliff.

Iain Dean’s (Michael Stevenson) life is once again put in danger this week in Casualty, as the beloved character falls from a cliff.
The character – who seemingly has as many lives as a cat – is a paramedic in the show, but occasionally works for HEMS – the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service.
On Saturday, the HEMS training day is attended by Iain and Stevie Nash (Elinor Lawless). Her emotions are challenged, however, when she finds Rich there too – the man previously in a relationship with Siobhan (Melanie Hill), who Stevie had an affair with.
Clearly distracted by Rich’s arrival, Stevie then tries to remain focused on the next task ahead – an abseil down a cliff with Iain.

However, when a rope snaps, the duo realise the remaining one cannot hold their weight together. Always one to take risks, Iain cuts himself free and falls, just as Stevie screams for his name.
Will he survive?
Over on Casualty’s Instagram page, Michael Stevenson and Elinor Lawless gave a brief teaser as to what to expect in this week’s episode.
‘We can’t give too much away, but we don’t want to leave you…hanging’, they joked.
Very good guys, very good.
Actress Elinor Lawless previously told us what’s ahead for her character Stevie this year.
‘There are little seeds sewn in the Christmas special that will bare fruit a bit later on for Stevie’, she said. ‘I think, what’s ahead for her, I guess will be her questioning her worth.
‘Questioning where she fits and belongs and exploring what it is to feel alone. There’s a little seed sewn into the episode that we’ll come back to later down the line.’
