Montana Locals Aren’t Happy ‘Yellowstone’ Star Moved to Town
Luke Grimes has plenty of fans. The Yellowstone alum and Marshals star is also a singing sensation with a big following. But his welcome in Montana is getting a tad threadbare. The reason? Grimes’ buddies from out of state began showing up. The residents of the Big Sky State guard their territory fiercely. One particular incident proves the point.

Grimes Talked About This With Joe Rogan
The Marshals actor went into detail about this situation when he was on The Joe Rogan Experience earlier in March. Seems like some of Grimes’ pals turned up in Montana for a visit. They were easily identified because of the California license plates on their vehicle. After going for a hike, they returned and saw with concern a hostile message scrawled in dust on the vehicle. It said, “go back.”
He Strives for Anonymity Among the Locals
It’s made Grimes become very tight-lipped about dishing too much about precisely where he hangs his hat. He does not want to stir up a hornet’s nest of grousing and animosity.
There are other situations in which Grimes prefers to keep a low profile. He confided to Joe Rogan that “I can’t go to bars there anymore because whatever that one idiot is, is at that bar, and he can’t wait to start a fight with me.”

Why He and His Family Settled in Montana
Luke Grimes clarified to Fox News Digital earlier this year what drew him to Montana as a resident. The raw, powerful allure of the place really attracted him.
“I was going up there three or four months out of the year and then anytime we’d get done filming, and I’d come back here, it sort of felt like I was leaving home rather than going back home. It was just a gear change that slowly happened over a course of a few years and then, yeah, my wife and I just fell in love with it and decided to live there.”
The 42-year-old Dayton, Ohio, native is married to a Braziian model named Bianca Rodrigues. They have one young child, Rigel Randolph Grimes.
