Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone spinoff, The Dutton Ranch, announced four new cast members, and one of them looks like the prolific writer-producer is doubling down on the success of 1923 and Landman breakout star, Michelle Randolph.

Taylor Sheridan cast newcomer Michelle Randolph as Elizabeth Strafford in 1923, where she acted opposite legends Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren. However, Randolph truly shined as Ainsley Norris, the daughter of Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) and Angela Norris (Ali Larter) in Landman.

Natalie Alyn Lind is an amazing addition to The Dutton Ranch. While only in her mid-20s, Lind has been acting since childhood, and has had memorable roles in The Goldbergs, Gotham, and Pet Sematary: Bloodlines. Natalie also played lead roles in The Gifted, Tell Me a Story, and Big Sky.

Natalie Alyn Lind possesses both natural talent and is a seasoned veteran who is poised to steal scenes in The Dutton Ranch. Despite her impressive resume, Natalie posted on Instagram that The Dutton Ranch “actually is my first rodeo…” as in Lind’s first role in a Western—and a Taylor Sheridan likely hit, no less.

The Dutton Ranch Looks Like Taylor Sheridan’s Strongest Yellowstone Spinoff

Yellowstone has three spinoffs on the way, including Y: Marshals on CBS about Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes), and The Madison, starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell. However, The Dutton Ranch is loaded up with the type of firepower that makes it the most likely to replicate Yellowstone‘s success.

Y: Marshals picking up Kayce Dutton’s story is promising, but being a CBS network series, rather than streaming, might soften the gritty realism fans expect from Yellowstone. Meanwhile, The Madison is a Yellowstone-adjacent spinoff that is more of a separate thing beyond the Dutton family legacy.
