Phyllis meets Billy at Crimson Lights and reminds him of her offer to get them the AI in exchange for Marchetti. He explains that Jack decided to put her offer on the back burner to evaluate other options. She warns her offer won’t always be available. Billy admits no one trusts her and she insists she is only doing this for Summer.

Billy pushes Phyllis to come clean about what Victor offered her. She claims she has no idea how Victor got the AI or if he even has it. She’s insulted to be accused of hacking, like she has no other talents.

Choking up, Phyllis declares that she wants to be acknowledged for being a great mom. Billy warns if she wants to make a deal, she needs to come clean now. Phyllis only wants to get her daughter out of the line of fire and away from the constant family feud. Billy believes she’s sincere, but she needs to convince his brother.

Sharon Tries to Calm Noah

At Sharon’s, Noah is jumpy and worried about Sienna. He thinks he should be handling this, not his dad. His mother reminds him that Matt is a sadist and they can’t play into his hands. They go back and forth and he complains that doing nothing is driving him crazy. His mother assures him that Nick won’t let Matt’s ongoing torment of the family stand.

Noah says she doesn’t understand how deep his love for Sienna is. They have what she and Nick had. Sharon asks what happened with Allie. He’s vague and claims it was inevitable and had nothing to do with Sienna.

Nick Meets With Matt

Matt arrives at the overlook, smirking, and Nick demands an update on Sienna. Matt assures him she’s fine so long as this meeting goes well. If he called the cops or Victor’s goons, she’ll be dead. Nick offers a million dollars for Sienna and then Matt has to disappear or the cops will be the least of his worries. Matt brags about how he faked his death and reminds him that he has nothing left to lose. After inflation, a million dollars isn’t what it used to be.

Matt points out that he could have grabbed Noah and snaps his fingers: he could have put Noah down like that. Nick gut punches him and then smacks him in the face. Matt nearly goes over the edge as Nick says he’d be doing the world a favor by tossing him into the ravine for the animals to devour. Matt knows that Noah would never forgive him if he let Sienna die. Laughing, he jokes he could throw himself over and leave Nick to take the blame.

Nick urges Matt to take the deal and go hide under a rock. Matt says he’ll take the money. Once he’s out of the country, he’ll send them an offshore account number and let them know where Sienna is. Nick threatens to hunt him down if he crosses him. “You do this my way, or not at all,” Matt says, jogging off.

Jack Shows Phyllis the Door

Phyllis shows up at the Abbott mansion and claims she’s there to give Jack back his company. He guesses she spoke to Billy and tries to walk her out. Refusing, she sits and asks what changed so fast from the time of his offer. Jack tells her she’s a loose cannon and refuses to divulge anything more. He repeats that her skills are no longer required and her time is up.

After Phyllis exits, Billy arrives and tells his brother that the redhead is their best option. He trusts Phyllis is doing what’s best by her daughter more than he trusts Nikki or Michael betraying Victor. Jack remains unconvinced, so his brother suggests they test all three options to see which works. His brother prods him again to confirm that they will destroy the AI if they get it back. Jack has an uncomfortably familiar feeling about what might be going on in his brother’s mind.

Phyllis goes to the Athletic Club and calls Michael, asking him to meet so she can run an idea by him.

Nick Asks Noah to Trust the Plan

Back at Sharon’s, she and Noah continue to argue about whether it’s possible to make a deal with Matt. She’s confident that saving his own skin will be Matt’s only priority. Nick arrives. He thinks Matt took the bait and Sienna is still alive. He tells his son they need to trust this and let things play out.

Matt Mulls His Next Move

Matt joins Annie at the motel. She has Sienna unconscious. He explains he negotiated a nice chunk of change with Nick, but he still hasn’t decided whether he will give Sienna back. The bigger question is whether he will let Noah live or not.
