Theo Plays Right Into EJ’s Hands, and Kristen May Push Sophia to Even Greater Unspeakable Acts

Brady and Steve catch up in the Pub, and Steve learns about Sophia, Rachel and the whole shebang. Brady wants Steve’s help in getting the proof they need to toss Sophia to the cops, but it’s clear he’s already got a game plan in place, starting with pulling Sophia’s prints from the supplement bottle.

Steve’s so impressed by Brady and all his help lately, he asks John’s son to join him at Black Patch! Steve sells it by listing everyone capable of the job — Paul, Rafe, Bo, Hope — as being unavailable. But hey, Brady’s still a winner! But he’s not ready to answer just yet, so he’ll think it over.

EJ and Cat Prepare for the Will Reading

EJ’s furious to learn that Dimitri slipped away from Alamainia, but tamps it down when Cat wanders into the mansion to go over the will reading. EJ notes Chad and the kids are driving back and will be in town shortly. “He sounded like a whole new man when I spoke with him!” (Cute, EJ. Cute.)

He previews what to expect at the reading — greedy family members coming out of the woodwork to stick daggers in each others’ backs — and it does, indeed, sound like “a rip-roaring good time!” But Cat’s welcome to attend, if she wants!

What Will Kristen Make Sophia Do?

Kristen tracks down Sophia on a park bench to finish their little chat. Kristen blames everything that happened to Rachel on EJ — and since Sophia used Rachel, Kristen’s using her. She wants EJ “broken. Publicly, privately. Permanently.”

Her plan is to take EJ down through Johnny, which works just fine for Sophia. And if Holly’s collateral damage, Kristen doesn’t care. Sophia cautiously checks whether Kristen wants to go so far as, er, murder. (Good to know she has limits!)

“For now, the less you know, the better.” Sophia does what Kristen says or Kristen turns her wrath on the teen. Just as Kristen’s demanding that Sophia makes a decision, Cat starts walking by, sees them and jumps back into the bushes. But Kristen spots her anyway and sends Sophia off running.

Theo Quits DiMera

Johnny’s asked Theo to stop by the office to ask if he can stay on at DiMera when Theo takes over. But that’s a no go — not because of the lawsuit, but because Theo’s not coming back. He won’t tell Johnny why, though, and leaves.

Next, Theo returns to the DiMera mansion to tell EJ that he’s stepping down as CEO. He already told Johnny, who seemed eager to stay, “So it looks like it worked out for everybody.” Yeah, Theo definitely knows EJ’s manipulated all of this!

Holly takes her best stab at sending Ari an apology text — or at least one asking to meet up to apologize, just as Johnny calls his dad to talk about Theo. He sees Holly in the square to talk over their respective Sophia woes. They’re both worried, and they all want Sophia locked up for good.

Will Leo Choose Dimitri?

Leo reacts to Dimitri’s surprise appearance with his usual rambling. Looks like Dimitri broke out of prison, so it’s a good thing Alamainia doesn’t have an extradition treaty with the US! When Dimitri spots Leo’s pad, they start talking about feelings, with Leo wondering if he could still be the good man Javi believed he was with someone else.

Dimitri thanks Leo for being honest and tells him that from the moment they met, Dimitri felt for the first time, he didn’t have to hide who he was. He loves Leo — but he’ll give him all the space he needs.

In the Show’s Final Moments

Brady gets home to Kristen moving out. Since Rachel’s back in Bayview, and Brady and his entire family gave up on Rachel, she’s not sticking around. They fight over who cares about Rachel less and Kristen ends it by declaring she doesn’t want to ever see Brady again!

While Leo and Dimitri are on a walk out by the nurses’ station, they run into a very uncomfortable Cat. It’s clear right away why: Dimitri’s certain they’ve met before. When the fellas get back to Leo’s room, Dimitri realizes Cat sounds like the ISA analyst he used to talk to. He leaves, telling Leo he’s the best thing that happened to him, and when he goes to kiss Leo on the forehead, he’s pulled into a real kiss.
