Why Is Ivy Breaking Up Electra/Will on Bold & Beautiful?
Bold & Beautiful has turned Ivy mean and nasty. Why on earth would she resort to scheming to drive a wedge between niece Electra and her boyfriend, Will? OK, so Ivy saw a moment between Will and houseguest Dylan that she felt was “not proper, not proper at all.” Will didn’t kiss Dylan. Dylan didn’t kiss Will. So if Ivy’s knickers are in such a knot, why doesn’t she spend some of her family’s fortune to set up the unhoused coed she thinks is always (gasp) “flaunting her body” anywhere but Will’s love shack?
Wouldn’t that be win/win? That way, Ivy doesn’t kick a homeless kid when she’s down — although she seems to prefer the term “grifter” — and Will and Electra can go back to canoodling like it’s their life’s work.

Poison Ivy the Malevolent Matchmaker
But no, instead the show has overnight turned Ivy so dark that she stole Electra’s letter to Will, thereby breaking her heart when he didn’t show up for the showroom tryst of which he was unaware. If you ask us, that’s hella “not proper.” And the story only gets weirder.
Though Will has been utterly devoted to Electra from the day they met — saving her from Remy, risking his neck in hopes of taking down Luna, making every third line of dialogue how amazing she is — Ivy has it in her head that her niece would be better off with… R.J.?!?
We’ll grant you, the recast of “Bridge’s” son is crazy charming. But isn’t he supposed to be a globetrotting ladies’ man? On what planet does that make him a safer bet for Electra than Will?

Ivy’s Plot Is Full of Holes
Viewers are, to put it mildly, not having Ivy’s attitude adjustment. “She’s basically Lex Luthor now,” quipped MysteriousEssay5709 on Reddit. “Just a bitter, manipulative pain in the butt.”
“Ivy isn’t just scheming and manipulative,” added Maggie_the_Cat85, “she’s also creepy and pathetic. What normal, emotionally stable woman would invest herself so thoroughly (even obsessively) in her young niece’s love life?”
Why Ivy is behaving in this way is a head-scratcher for one and all. “I just don’t understand what her motivation is,” posted SleazyBanana. Has Ivy come unhinged? Has her mind snapped from her years on the backburner?
Make It Make Sense
Then again, some fans aren’t surprised that Ivy’s machinations don’t make sense since little else does, either. As MittenGirl7456 mused, “This storyline is so 1970s. What twentysomething [like Electra] writes a letter? They barely make a phone call.”
And does Ivy imagine that Will and Electra will never speak again, never mentioning the letter or his necklace? They work in the same building — and so far as we’ve ever seen have very little to do but gossip and kiss. At some point, they’re gonna actually communicate — and that’s if Daphne doesn’t bust Ivy first.
What are you hoping will happen?
