Despite their best efforts, the flame between The Young and the Restless’ Tessa and Daniel just keeps building up instead of dying down. From that kiss to Daniel’s declaration of love, it seems like only a matter of time before they push past yearning and into doing!

For now, Tessa insists she’s not giving up on her marriage or Mariah, but somehow, we don’t see that being the biggest obstacle in the way. Because Mariah’s busy wrestling with her dark side (in the form of the deeply unwelcome Ian Ward) and has done all she can to push her family away. By the time she comes back around, it may be too late for her and Tessa.

But at the same time, Daniel and Mariah aren’t the only two who have loved Tessa. There’s also Noah. He and Tessa didn’t work out — in fact, she left him when she fell in love with Mariah! — but he never seemed to quite get over her. He even admitted when she and Mariah married that he was still in love with her!

Now, he’s back, more or less, and it’s only a matter of time before he comes to and reclaims his life. The thing is, after the accident he just had, we have no idea what Noah’s state of mind will be.

Will he have amnesia? Will he be overcome with frustration and anger? Will he wake up, against all odds, still in love with Tessa… and maddened by the fact that while he could never get her to leave Mariah for him, Daniel can — and perhaps will!

We know that Noah is supposedly still involved with Allie, but since the show has made no mention of bringing back Kelsey Wang to reprise her role (or recasting it), she would seem to fall into the category of “nonissue.”

Now, so long as Tessa was with his sister, Noah played nice. But the second they split, we have a feeling all bets are off. And there’s no telling what this post-accident Noah might do to keep Daniel and Tessa apart — and convince her that he’s the man that she wants, instead!
