World heals as Emmerdale’s Robert and Aaron get engaged in Corriedale
Car crash pile-up, minibuses exploding, guns going off, grisly murder – it’s a wonder that Corriedale had time to insert any romantic scene but they threw a big treat to Robron fans and we couldn’t be happier.
The Emmerdale pairing are more united than ever after having their relationship tested to the extreme by the somewhat unhinged John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) and Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill).
Against the somewhat troublesome situations of being held hostage, having samurai swords swung their way and being forced to snog the face off their serial killer ex to try and appease him, Aaron and Robert are growing strong again.
Who’d have thought after all these years that Robron would be reborn?
But before a magical commitment followed, there was more peril for them following a car-crash pile-up on the Hotten road.

John and Aaron were struggling against each other in the front seat of a speeding vehicle and what followed was a horrifying collision.
The seemingly invincible John was able to clamber from the wreckage and head off into the night, armed, dangerous and waiting.
Aaron, meanwhile, was bleeding and trapped and, upon realising, Robert screamed his name and raced to the scene.
Young medical experts Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) and Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) were working overtime in the melee but Aaron was thankfully saved and he and Robert sat exhausted, marvelling at not only surviving another calamity, but also making it through their second Hotten vehicle pile-up.
Nice going, lads.

As they recuperated, they realised how much they could have lost and Robert was more loved up than ever.
Not wanting to waste any time, and both knowing that this is the future they want (without all the exploding buses of course), Aaron asked Robert if they should get married again.
At first, Robert wasn’t sure if he was serious or had inhaled too many fumes from the burning cars but Aaron was absolutely serious.

Following a heart-soaring ‘you know, I know’ (we all know), the couple marked their now official engagement and all was happy and joyful in the world again.
But what about pesky John? Surely he won’t give up until he’s divided them forever?
No problem, over to you Victoria (Isabel Hodgins)! As Robron celebrated their reunion, she was busy standing over her sociopathic brother’s dead body…
