Fans are already shipping Tessa and Daniel, after Daniel revealed his feelings for her to his father, Danny. However, Tessa currently seems to have her own mountains to climb.

In a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest, Cait Fairbanks spoke about her character’s connection with Daniel Romalotti. Describing Tessa’s feelings, she said, “I think Tessa wants connection. She doesn’t want to be alone in this, but also really cares for Daniel as well.”

Tessa is desperately trying to repair her marriage with Mariah, but Mariah keeps pushing her away. However, Daniel always turns up to support Tessa and hasn’t revealed his feelings to her yet. “I think that they are coming together to support each other through two things that are just really hard. They’re basically both grieving, and grief is really powerful and it can connect you to people,” Fairbanks explained. “So I’m not sure if it’s something that she would explore right now, being so in that grief, but they definitely are equally connected to each other.”

Based on Fairbanks’ comments, it doesn’t seem like Tessa will be making any moves yet. Though her actual feelings for Daniel are still not clear. Whether or not Tessa sees anything more than friendship with Daniel is still a mystery. “I think that there’s something there, but I’m not even sure she’s as conscious of it as he would be, you know?” Fairbanks adds. “We’ve all been through really hard things and then met and had connections with people, whether it be romantic or friendship, or something. And I think that she’s still exploring that herself,” she added.
