Wow, you just never know what you’re going to find on the internet from the days of old — and The Young and the Restless’ Michelle Stafford (Phyllis) came across a pot of gold. While fans of her castmate Jason Thompson (Billy) may recall that he appeared in a few commercials for Gap back in the 1990s, others may not have seen them… but we’ve gotcha covered.

Stafford’s post was too good not to pass along to our readers and wait until you see Thompson in a whole other role — this time, singing a lyric from Madonna’s 1984 hit “Dress You Up” while promoting the outlet’s Everybody in Vests ad. Oh, but wait, that’s not all… The actress also shared another one of Gap’s most-memorable commercials featuring her pal singing a line from Donovan’s 1967 single “Mellow Yellow.”

“Yes, yes! Say Happy birthday to Jason Thompson,” Stafford cheered then went on to explain that the old commercials came up on her feed a couple months ago and she’d “been waiting to post!”

Thompson, who celebrated his birthday on November 20, was a hit with fans and castmates alike after they had seen Stafford’s post. Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren) was sure to let everyone know that she loved seeing the old ads then sent him a big, “Happy birthday.”
